I got my bento well packaged, it was actually a gift, but everything seem to be in order, also the top is not wood, is plastic, lastly it is a big bento, so it may not suit people who keep portion control over their food.

It feels decent, looks nice, and holds food. What more could you ask for?

(Updated on August 20, 2021My initial impression is below. After using the lunchbox for a while now I’m better able to give a thorough review. First my 4 stars has dropped to 3 stars mainly because the lids are not very secure. When you put food in the containers the lids refuse to close, even after following instructions to pull up on the plug and then push down. Mind you this isn’t a case of placing too much food in one container. The lids just don’t close as they should. For this same reason I’ve never placed anything with a liquid constancy in any of the lunchbox. The plugs on top of the lids constantly come off when “gently” pulling them up, and since they’re not connected to the lid they pop off easily. I don’t like that the very top lunch container has the lid and the silverware Attachment infused with the lid plug. It becomes very annoying overtime and the silverware doesn’t stay snug within it so the spoon and fork rattle and move around. Ultimately you have to make sure you use the band at all times. I have used all four containers at once and two at a time. Due to the instability of the lids not closing and the band that goes around the lunchbox being too big, I’ve never used just one container on its own. I’ve only placed foods that did not need to be microwave in the tin containers. Foods that I’ve placed in black containers have heated well at the 2 minute limit the instructions advise. The lunchbox gets the job done for my needs but I’ve changed my mind whether I would gift it to friends or family. I would not. At the end of the day I need my lids to close properly over the containers. The size of the lunchbox and portion of food are still good points.)I’ll come back and add to this review after using this lunchbox, but my initial impressions are very good. The quality (actual stainless spoon and fork, stainless compartments, and the plastic compartments) is top notch. The portions you can put in the lunchbox is also a high point (but for anyone who eats more you have 4 compartments to fill food in). And now excuse me while my inner little girl gushes over just how adorable the lunchbox (and even the little cloth and sauce box) is! I’ll be using this lunchbox for most days so I’ll report back on how it’s held up. At this point, however I would recommend it to friends and family. It took me 2 months of research to finally settle on this brand and purchase this lunchbox just for reference to anyone who cares.

I've used this product every day for my boyfriend's lunch. It has great portion sizes and it's super easy to clean. It came with this cute napkin and a little white container that fits perfectly in the box. I would recommend this product if you're wanting a lunch box that isn't super big and bulky - but is the perfect size for packing lunches. I accidentally dropped this product and when inspecting it for damage, I did not see any. The outside of the box is hard plastic and the inside is metal. I figured that the plastic would have been scuffed or cracked, to say the least, but it was intact with no cosmetic damage. I am impressed with this product and with how cute it looks!

Love these! Easy to clean,great size, the silverware included is nice, the rubber bands are durable, and I enjoy being able to expand them as needed. The only thing I wish was included is at least one divider.

The set has metal inserts that can't be microwaved, which is a deal breaker for me. There is a spot somewhere in the listing where it says to remove the metal to microwave, but I missed it. To flop the contents from the metal to the plastic means extra washing and less convenience. Without the metal inserts at all it feels flimsy. If you're wanting to make meal planning as easy as possible then this might not be your dream bento.

Seems to be nice but missing the sauce container and cloth.

Does not keep food warm. 2 hrs in, my food was already cold. For this reason, I give this 2 stars. The lid doesn’t seem very secure for liquid. I did not try this with liquid so I cannot be sure, I’m just judging by how it feels.Love the look of this container. It even comes with 2 extra lids, extra rubber band, fork & spoon! I had such high expectations of this. Maybe that’s why I was so disappointed

I had a stew twice in them and twice it leaked all over in my bag, fortunately my work docs haven't been damaged.Otherwise look stylish and good at keeping in the fridge/freezer.

didnt know what to get, didnt have much money, he got new job so thought of this. its really nice and u can easily swap out the cat thing the other reviewer was crying about.
