Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please

Although the thought of yelling at the character Marvin to GET OUT seems a little rude to me, I've realized that I do really like this book.The illustrations are really fun, the rhyme and rhythm are typical of Dr. Seuss books, and the weird vocab (zike bike, zumble zay, crunk car) makes it even more interesting.I'm using this book to teach my kid about theatrics and intonation. We also use the "will you please go now" trope to get him to do things he doesn't want to, like brush his teeth or sleep or poop.But most of all, this book has helped me explain to my son that sometimes older people appreciate their alone time and always having people around can be a bit stressful. Every time I say - Marvin K Mooney, will you please go now, he does. :)

Most amazing book. The children love it. They love doing the actions like - going by cow, going by foot etc.

Awesome book.My kid interprets this as a going to bed book.I use it for many things more !!! To coax him to go to school, potty , brush teeth etc !! And seeing so many limited words being used again and again, they easily learn to read too.Dr. Seuss books are all great for kids.

I bought this for my small granddaughters. My own daughters had all the Dr Seuss books as children and this was their Number Two Favourite (after Wacky Wednesday). They never got tired of hearing/reading it.

Taught daughters to read with this book , now it the grandchildren, it doesn't age

My son who is 3 makes me read it several times over. He thinks Marvin is so funny. Excellent Dr. Suess book, not too long and winding so it's great for little ones. Highly recommend.
