Loved the book and the experience. Took me on an adventure as do all your books. Looking forward to more. Humorous, vulnerable and human!

Very well written by a great author but this a travel blog or memoir. A good breezy read but nothing substantial.

Bumpety bumpety roads, steep hills, sudden storms and dogs of an uncertain temperament are challenges faced by all adventure cyclists. Anna and her friend Faye faced these challenges and more with grit and humour as they cycled through South America.Not only do we experience the countryside from the comfort of our reading perch, we are also present for McNuff’s authentic internal machinations, providing wonderful insights. I also loved the descriptions of the small things she took joy in on the journey, like mangoes, new socks, and affable dogs.Some of my favourite bits included Anna’s reflections around her identity, the learning on travelling with someone else so closely for such a long time, and her hilarious description of Faye’s slowly degrading bicycle pants.Some parts of the journey could have been a little shorter, but then maybe that reflected my desire to get to the end of the trip to ensure that the girls had safely made it to their final destination. We share with them their sense of achievement when they finally make it to Ushuai.Congratulations to Anna on this delightful travel memoir and on winning the Kindle Storyteller prize.Tracy Stanley (fellow cyclist and writer)

I looked forward to reading this every night. I loved every page. It's got the humour and escapism of really good chick lit with the excitement of an adventure memoir. Can't wait for the next one!

I've read all of Anna's previous books and loved her latest adventure. Her style of writing is so enjoyable to read and takes you along with her on the ride. I would highly recommend!

I don’t often buy books to read, I wait for the audio book to come out but as this is about my wonderful colleague and friend Faye and her adventures with Anna I just could not wait! She had already relayed many a tale about their Andes trip and I was super excited to read this book.I can confidently say...and with putting any bias opinion aside, that it was truly fabulous, very well written, funny and honest and a book that had a magic that made you feel you were on the journey with them making it a real adventure for its reader.Brilliant indeed!
