Tastes about how you might expect
It works fine in tea. I did find a small pebble, but it didn’t escape my infusion ball, so wasn’t a problem.

good herb but use caution when taking prescription drugs...
This is the first time i have tried St. John's wort tea (Hypericum perforatum).i had St. John's wort in capsules and tinkture before, a long time ago.To make a tea you use 1-2 teaspoons per cup of water (8 OZ, 250ml).Drink 1 to 3 cups of St. John's wort tea per day.You get 8 OZ in this package.Note: The effect of this tea can only be seen after 2 to 3 weeks, so be patient! You pour hot water over the herb to make an infusion, never boil the herb.Let is seep a bit, about 10 minutesThe Alpi Nature herbal tea comes from the clean valleys of Bulgaria, where it is also handpicked.it is pure and natural. The production is subject to constant quality controls.it comes in the package that is shown on the product page.it has an inner plastic on the inside to keep it fresh.i like that because the paperbag alone wouldn't be so good by itself. You can drink St. John's wort tea for:Mayo Clinic says= The flowers and leaves of St. John's wort contain active ingredients such as hyperforin.People use St. John's wort to treat depression and menopausal symptoms.Depression. Several studies support the therapeutic benefit of St. John's wort in treating mild to moderate depression. In fact, some research has shown the supplement to be as effective as several prescription antidepressants. It's unclear whether it's beneficial in the treatment of severe depression. Because St. John's wort interacts with many medications, it might not be an appropriate choice, particularly if you take any prescription drugs.Menopausal symptoms. Some evidence suggests that taking St. John's wort alone or in combination with black cohosh or other herbs might reduce menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes.Somatic symptom disorder. Some studies indicate that St. John's wort might be beneficial for the treatment of this condition that causes severe anxiety about physical symptoms such as pain, weakness or shortness of breath. You can read more on mayoclinic dot org where it talks about caution, safety & side effects and Interactions with prescrption drug that they list. This tea has a pleasant taste.it is not bitter, but somewhat a bit sweet.i always love the taste of herbal teas. This is just a pure and natural herb from Bulgaria so you can be confident when drinking it.Precautions mentioned on another herb site=Not to be used during phototherapy. Fair-skinned persons should avoid excessive exposure to sunlight during use.i hope you find this review helpful.Sabiene :)

Excellent flavor- with benefits
This is the first time I've tried St. Johns Wort tea and I was surprised by the flavor - herbal teas (like this one) are not "true" teas, they are not made from Camellia sinensis, but are instead made from herbs, flowers, seeds, berries, stems, etc. from many edible and medicinal plants. So, I was surprised to find that to me, this tastes like real tea (like Lipton - Camellia sinensis) only much milder. It's a very pleasant taste, but very different from all my other herbal teas.St. John's Wort is a special tea - there are many healing herbs that are loaded with antioxidants that slow aging, are anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, sedative (valerian) - but St John’s Wort actually affects the brains serotonin levels the same way some powerful prescription medications like Fluoxetine (Prozac) do. The herb is supposedly (many people swear by it) very effective in treating mild to moderate depression. I'm definitely in favor of trying herbal remedies before I resort to prescription medications, but if you do want to try St. John's Wort for mild or moderate depression, look for a trusted brand of gelatin capsules filled with a specific potency of powdered herb. If you have depression that is chronic, you want to take a measured dose (100mg., 200mg., etc.) so that you can take note what works, what doesn't and how much you need to take if the symptoms return. As a delicious tea with benefits that's a good mood booster, though - this tea is fine - it appears very fresh with no dust at all, has a good aroma and tastes excellent. This tea is best used any time except evening because like Fluoxetine (Prozac) it's a stimulant. I don't think you could pick a better tea to drink first thing on Monday mornings!

Love home made teas!
Opened the package and took a nice deep sniff and was pleasantly surprised that the fresh aroma. St Johns wort has many benefits for tea drinkers. Great to help with depression, helps reduce the urge to smoke, cures your weekend hangovers, even helps with parkinsons. This is a wonderful herb to make tea from. Get yourself a nice infuser and fill it half way. Pour some hot water and allow it to steep for 5-7 minutes. Add your favorite sweetener and away you go. It does not weigh much so there is plenty in the bag to last a while depending on how much you drink. It is a mild tasting tea and tasks fresh and clean. I recommend this tea! I have been drinking a cup a day for a week now and love it.
