Small, portable..BUT!!!
UPDATE (after putting it through mush use): after using this stand for quite some time, I definitely wouldn’t recommend this for any heavy duty equipment. Really nothing more than maybe a ring light in a small studio. Anything else will just frustrate you. It’s very light, and when legs are fully extended to widest point, it doesn’t get that tall which makes it very unusable in most cases. It would be good for something like a home office but not on a set. Maybe traveling where you want to set up a small light or a phone mount. It’s very overpriced for what it is and after using it for a while didn’t find very much use for it. Too much weight such as a light with a soft box or modifier will make it tilt or wabble even fully extended. Dont risk putting large or expensive gear on it.This is GREAT for small equipment (small lights, ring lights, phone mount) just not for professional use. 100% Honest>>>>>>This light stand is SUPER compact and portable. It’s light weight but still sturdy. It’s legs are like tripod legs instead of the traditional light standretractible foot. This light stand would be perfect for smaller lights or lights that aren’t heavy. I love the quick locks as oppose to the twist locks. Has the ability to take up much less space than the traditional light stand which is great for small studio spaces and the feet have grips so you won’t scuff up your floors. There’s also a counterweight hook on the bottom, similar to what you see on tripods so that but it’s so low to the ground it wouldn’t really be useful. It also extends pretty high but I would suggest using counterweight if using this at its max height because it’s not that sturdy. Overall, its an “OK” little addition if you don’t want to carry around a high lightstand for small projects. If you uses it outdoors in wind, you should use a counterweight or have an assistant hold it.

Worst light stand you can buy
If I could give these stands zero stars I would. They are by far the worst stands we’ve ever used. They look, feel and perform cheaply. The aluminum looks like plastic. The screw at the end of the stand broke inside of one of our $1000 LED lamps making it essentially useless. Our LED panels only way about 5 pounds. We thought we’d try these out since they are incredibly light and compact. It was a horrible decision. We should’ve just used our smaller Arri stands.I would never recommend these stands to anyone, not even my competitors.

Made for small LED panel
I bought this thinking this would be a great solution for a flexible lightstand. I didn't really thought about its limitations till I received it. It's nice, its made of a hollow thin aluminum and you can tell by the feel once you hold it.Fully extended it didn't pass me and I am 5.6". I mounted a 9X9 thin led panel and it was top heavy for the stand to hold straight, even with the legs flat on the ground, the poles fully extended went back and forth. That is not good if you have a $500 light on it . Then I used my 4X5 thin led panels and they balanced well as long you didn't touch it. Unfortunately if its too flimsy to balance led panels, I can't image one of my battery strobes.I just cannot recommend this light stand, you are better off with a reverse leg light stand. Even the cheaper ones are sturdier.Don't get me wrong. The idea is a good one but there is a better way to do this. A travel tripod with a stud. A medium boom arm and there you have it. An adjustable light stand for any terrain. Hey K&F, just gave you a free concept for a new product.

Very Impressive Stand
My first impression was great. Feels light and sturdy. It is very easy to opperate, which is important. I like the rubber pads at the feet of this. They seem to have a very nice density. I also discoved it has a spring loaded hook under the center shaft for a dead weight added. Way cool!Just before writing this review I looked over some of the worst reviews and do not understand their complaints after playing around with it again and testing those issues. The top mount is a one piece metal head that would not break like plastic, and is easil;y unscrewed to replace if needed. This fully extended at the leg second notch went well over my head at 5' 10". I did not feel any wabble or play to the poles fully extended. I had recently bought a carbonfiber stand with flimsy aluminum legs costing twice this much, which was less stable, less versatle, harder to opperate, and would not hold it's position. Which had inspired me to find a better stand. I had been using some Manfrotto stands for several years before that, but have some limitation. I believe this is the one I was searching for.

Replaces those flimsily loght stands that come with softbox kits
I purchased this K&F concept light stand tripod as an upgrade to those cheap thin aluminum stands with plastic components that came with my Neewer softbox lighting kit. This stand holds up without having to use sandbags. With heavier equipment such as my GVM bowens large umbrella softbox I use the sandbags for additional stability.I ordered this light stand because I own a K&F Concept tripod with the pan arm and swiss arca mount head and I love this brand! I trust in the brand so much that I have replaced several of my Italian photography brand equipment with the red circle and white M logo and have even converted my photography backpacks that hold my expensive gear over to K&F Concept backpacks. This tripod is extremely light weight with a thicker and higher quality grade of aluminum. The legs have those signature style press and click into position adjustable positions and can be folded into the compact configuration to fit in the included carrying bag. As others have stated, this is the first K&F bag that is not the thick durable nylon but that helps keeps the price point low so I can purchase additional tripod light pole stands.
