Strap broke after very little use. Flexi leashes are not the same quality as they used to be. I've been using Flexi leashes for over 30 years and never had one break until now. Very disappointed. Will not buy a Flexi again.**Update...I contacted the manufacturer and asked about their warranty. They do not cover the tape fraying or breaking, which mine did after a short time. So...Do not waste your money on Flexi leashes.

This leash broke one month and three days after purchase, 3 days past the return option. Not happy at all. Tore where the ribbon leash joins the clip. What a rip off! It should at least have a 3-month warranty.

When I first received this leash, I loved it. The reflective handle and color of the leash made it easy to see when I took my 8 lb puppy out for an evening walk and potty session. However, I would recommend people stay as far away from this product as possible. The leash material is not strong at all, and although the handle is easy to grip, the material is not very durable and I feel it would bust if dropped. After owning this leash for just under 20 days, I am returning this defective product.About 2 weeks after using it, I noticed that the leash would randomly lock even when I did not have the button pressed or in the lock position, but I figured it might have been something I done so I tried to ensure that I didn't lock the leash unless absolutely necessary (puppy was pulling as she headed into the street, or something dangerous).Tonight, (day 19 from order) after taking the puppy out, she went darting across the yard when the leash snapped and retracted into the handle. Luckily she realized that even though she was "free" this wasn't normal, and ran back to the front door to wait after her initial scare but this could have been much worse.

I was looking to replace a 7-year old Flexi leash that still worked fine but dropped out of my golf cart who-knows-where.This new design offers the same great product as the old Flexi but with these improvements:-- excellent visibility (I walk my dog a lot at night and in 5am darkness)-- improved brake-- option of Flexi multi box on-board storage for poop bags (or treats) that attaches securely to leash and does not sway or clankThe Flexi multi box is a separate purchase but really makes this leash shine.

I bought this leash just a few months ago when we got a second dog and loved that one. We added a third dog, and ordered the same product but it's not the same. This one is of inferior quality. The button to stop the leash from extending any further is not as good as the previous version, and it does not hold as well.

I really like this leash. The lock mechanism is so much better than older versions of this leash. The neon yellow is great....very visible during the day as well as night. It extents and retracts without a hitch. I have an original Flexi leash that still functions well but this was a replacement for a year old Kong retractable leash that would "catch" during extension and retraction until during a walk, it extended to the limit and wouldn't retract. This Flexi leash is obviously of better quality. Love it!

This leash has changed my life in just two days. I've been using a standard 6' leash and my dog seems to always want to go beyond where I can go if I want to stay on the sidewalk. I just received this leash and both of our lives are happier than ever. Just one or two caveats: the handle opening is small for a man's hand, although not excessively so. The problem comes when you try to add a glove. It's been cold and windy and a glove made it so I could only get three fingers through the handle opening. Another issue, unless I'm missing something fundamental, is that it is almost impossible to tie a poop bag with a knot while also trying to hold onto this leash. My standard leash I could put higher up on my wrist while my hands were busy tying off the bag.A HUGE positive is that there is almost no drag on the leash so the dog can roam a little farther than he used to be able to and because the tape is so light, it doesn't drag his collar around to the side and that keeps the leash from getting tangled in his legs or under him. The braking system is excellent too. He was roaming around the curb last night and a car was coming down the street, so I locked the leash and that kept him from being able to go into the street.Despite the negatives, this is an awesome leash. Oh! One more little negative: there's really no place to attach a poop bag dispenser. I managed to fashion one out of a zip-tie and a carabiner on the bottom of the handle and that will have to do for now. Other than those issues, I love this leash and will probably solve my problems by seeing if Flexi has something with a larger handle since I've managed to throw away the packaging already.

Initially excited about the leash. Took the dog for a walk today, and while spooling the leash out under a little tension, the line broke. My dog weighs 25 lbs, doesn’t pull hard, and has never chewed the leash. Not sure why it failed after a few months.

Fantastic lead, great for late night walking.

I was hoping this would last a lot longer than 3 weeks... I received the leash on April 21, 2020 and have already found a tear on the tape. My dog is only about 15 lbs and rarely tugs on the leash. I got the small, 16 ft leash, which is advertised as suitable for dogs up to 33 lbs. I’m disappointed as this product had really great reviews, but have since noticed that this is a common issue among others.Although the length of the leash was great for my dog (10 month old westiepoo), I will be returning this product because a rip after 3 weeks is just ridiculous!

This is an excellent retractable leash. I have been using it for a couple of months now with no issues at all. I do have to occasionally (2-3 times since I got it) extend the leash tape fully and feed it back in without twists. The tape itself has faded/dirtied a bit with use but is still nice and bright. The side reflectors work well and are highly visible. The leash is MUCH stronger than you would expect for the size, I was initially a bit worried about this but have had zero issues so far.Highly recommended and the optional poop bag attachment is very useful although a bit fiddly to load with new bags.

I have a 10lb Morkie and his new leash functions as advertized.The bright safety greenish yellowdecals is great idea to aid in walking your dog along unlit roadway with the green reflective leash portion. Time will tell if it continues to work efficiently once the he rainy days arrive when the webbing ribbon like line picks up a bit of sand or grit. I'm hoping the recoil spring holds out for at least a year.

This feels like a nice lightweight leash that was comfortable to carry. However, I discovered after just one day of use that the tape was almost ripped right through at the tab where the tape meets the hook/ buckle. Not impressed!!
