Hornady Lock-n-Load Insert
I just got into reloading the last 2 years, and I bought a Hornady press. With the Lock-n-Load system and these powder inserts, setup is minimized and I can change calibers easily. I reload 9 mm, .40 S&W, and .44 Mag. The differences in powder are substantial, especially between the .44 and the other two. With these inserts (I have 3) I can change over to a different caliber easily. Very well designed and high quality product. Good job Hornady!!

Makes switch calibers less time consuming.
I use these all the time. I usually buy one when I add a new caliber to load. That way you can just switch without having to readjust for a different load.

An excellent tool for reloaders
I bought 6 of these inserts and they do an excellent work. Once you have set the load, it would deliver the same amount with a plus-minus 0.2 grain difference depending on the powder size. I recommend this product to any one. I reload, .223, .270, 6.5X55, 300 win mag, and 30-06. I use IMR 3031, Reloader 15, IMR 4831, H4831SC and IMR 4350.

Must Have If Loading More Than One Caliber.
Bought these because I load three different calibers. Makes life a lot easier having these already set, so I can just change them out in my powder measure instead of having to adjust one all the time. Same Hornady top notch quality as all their other reloading equipment.

Works great
This metering insert makes load changing easy and accurate. Once you have it initially set just push a button, remove it and install another insert for a totally different load. Couldn't be simpler!

Oops
I,embarrassingly, lost my original standard metering insert. Only had the rifle one. This is the OEM item and works just like it should.
