Looking for the mids
AKG K612 Pro.Detailing is slightly less compared to K701 and K712, but a crazy scene, the sound is literally all around you. They sound best at low volumes: deep bass, excellent treble, and of course, fantastic mids.

Synthetic sound
Wasn’t happy with them. Synthetic sound and mediocre resolution compared to direct competitors.

Sparkly highs, I love them!
While I was afraid buying these when looking at all the reviews and posts on head-fi claiming that these are "too wide" and warning me to stay away because of the lack of bass, as soon as I put them on, I instantly fell in love.It might be because I've already owned a couple of relatively "wide" soundstage headphones before (Grado SR80, IE80 and Brainwavz HM5), but I really didn't think the sound is too wide in the K702. It just sounded right to me. In addition, the overall sound these produce is simply EXCEPTIONAL!And although the bass isn't deep and heavy, it is good and what I would call "accurate" for studio usage. The good thing is when I turn on the bass-boost on my dac-amp (which I never use for any other headphones), it does actually help these a lot in having a fuller sound which I like.Keep in mind YOU NEED AN AMP for these, at least a little one. You can't drive them properly from a phone or a laptop integrated sound card.Additionally, I've never really understood what people meant by describing highs as "sparkly", but now I get it.Everything else apart from the "wide" soundstage - which I guess some people don't like - is great.Very enjoyable and punchy mids, very light and sparkly highs and tons of separation. All the sound is there. The side effect of that is that it can lead to listening fatigue because all the sounds are there ALL the time, but for me and my ADHD it's actually perfect, I don't mind that. The best headphone I've ever owned so far!

My favorite pair
I have the K-245 and its twin the K-275, they are warm, FUN ans easy to drive (32ohms). I use them for music listening and tv. I'm not a bass head, I don't find they lack bas at all. Both, k-275 and K-245, are way bassier than Ath-m40x (even with big leather pads). The k-245 are much louder than Philips Shp9600, but their soundstage is narrower (Shp9600 are wonderfully sounding headphones by the way). The pads are pretty shallow, I have world smallest ears and they touch the foam on the driver, but I find it comfortable. Maybe shallow pads help sound seam louder... I just bought the k-245 and Of the two, k-275 and k-245, I think I prefer the 245... and the 275 were my favorite pair of headphones. Build quality is the best I ever owned/seen. They don't look cheap, they don't feel cheap, squeaky or loose, these are metal and they are tight. Clamping force is just fine. Buils quality is WAY better than audio technica 40x, Philips shp9600 and Lyx-pro Has-30. If you want an open pair of headphones to ear yourself singing, look elsewhere for a more open pair (Grado, Shp9600, Shp 9500...). Oh! and for 108$CAD, I don't know any better headphone (I paid more than 250$CAD for the k-275 in 2020).
