I was terrified of this, now I donate them to shelters
First let me say, I don’t leave Amazon reviews. I’m one of those crappy people that relies on them but never writes them. It felt important for me to leave this review.I was terrified to use the menstrual cup. I’ve been an avid tampon user for over a decade. The stories and reviews of it getting stuck were an actual nightmare of mine. I’ve had reproductive struggles and was frankly afraid it would happen to me more than anyone. I was also afraid it would leak or I would drop it when it was full…just…gross.A few months ago one of my girlfriends really encouraged me to try it. She said it changed her life.I decided to try it because tampons had been my only way of life for so long.At first I couldn’t get the thing in. I thought it was a sign. Then I figured out the right fold for me, got it in, but didn’t push it high enough. It’s like I was 15 again learning how to use a tampon. Pro tip, just push it up there.I NEVER struggled to take it out (and I have nails). Once I got the putting in part right, this really did change my life. I don’t feel it, it’s so secure, I’ve NEVER had a leak, and taking it out is easier than you think (I promise).I change my twice a day, that’s it. I have a really heavy flow, I use a size Small, and twice a day is all I spend on my cycle now. As someone that’s in back to back meetings all day and hits the gym and does a million other things, that’s a game changer. It’s also not nearly as smelly as tampons, just saying. It’s so much cleaner, cheaper, easier. I’m sad it took me this long to use. Here’s what is important to me to share. I come from a poor immigrant family. There were times I couldn’t afford tampons or pads…for years. Now, I have an incredible career and make great money, but the trauma of not having money for tampons sticks with me.If I had this cup then, life would have been easier. Because of that, I donate a cup (and cup wash) a month to a local shelter to help women have this much security. I’m not telling you this as a pat on the back, I’m telling you this to show you that I think it’s so great I donate it to women monthly…women like me who just needed something to be easy and work.I know it sounds silly how impactful this can be, but it’s the truth. I hope you’ll give this a try, and maybe donate a couple to women that need something this efficient, cost effective, and helpful…at least until we can make these products free. Well done, Lena cup.

DO NOT BUY
First things first, I purchased this cup because it had a longer pull tab than the cup that I previously purchased. Let me tell you this: I wish I would have just stuck with Diva Cup because, huntyyyyyyyyy!!! First thing that I noticed about this cup was the smell. It smelled like fish prior to me using it which was abnormal because the Diva cup literally had no smell at all. I washed this thing with soap & water like instructed & it still had a fishy odor. Here comes my menstrul, so I wash it again & then insert it. Second thing that I noticed was that it was very hard to insert. Each time I would fold it & try to insert it, it would pop open. It took me about 7-8 tries before I finally got it in. Okay, cool, I thought. I put it in at around 9am & noticed at around 2pm while I was out with my hunny that it felt like I had grease in my cheeks. I instantly knew it had started leaking. So, I went home, showered, washed it & smelled it & it reeked of fish again! I thought that maybe I was tripping because I literally never smell on my cycle so I had my s/o smell the cup as well & he too confirmed that it reeked. I ended up just throwing the cup out & sending him to get some tampons. I’ll never recommend this brand to anyone & I’ll stick with the Diva Cup from now on. Not sure if they gave me a used cup or what but the thought literally makes me queasy. & the fact that it doesn’t stay in for 12+ hours without leaking like other brands is another no no. Avoid this brand like the plague & save yourself the headache.

Wanted to love, but might keep looking…
I wanted to love this product so badly… I loved the packaging and the fact that it feels like there’s life behind this company. I bought this as a replacement for my Keeper/Mooncup, which I had been using for years. My reasons for looking to change cup brands was simply cost, age of the existing cup, and the fact that the Keeper/Mooncup brand now feels like a shell company, which doesn’t actually function anymore [the Keeper website and customer service is now non-existent, and after waiting four weeks for the Keeper replacement cup I ordered but never received, I canceled the payment, and moved on to this brand]. I went into using this new cup knowing that, even though I consider myself to be an experienced cup user [been using a cup for at least 9 years], I know that each cup is different, and it might take a few days to get used to a new cup’s shape and suction. So I was excited to use it during my last period. However… this cup has *way* too strong a suction for my body - like, whoa! I know what I’m doing, but struggled so hard and long to get it out, I thought “well, this thing is now just a part of me”. I found it to be painful to remove, and also fiddly to insert - I’m used to the Keeper which has a definitive “opening up - pop” sensation - you can tell that it’s fully open and in the right place, without being painful. I’m wondering if this cup is just too wide for my body, as it never felt like it was fully open. I didn’t experience leaking, but I had to really get my finger up there to make sure the mouth was fully open, which was equally painful because the cup was already suctioned so strongly. I was so generally uncomfortable with removal and insertion that it left me not wanting to give it another go… Sadly, my search for my next cup continues.

Changed my experience with menstrual cups!
The last time I tried a menstrual cup it never worked right. I could never get it to pop open once inside, and even when I finally could it would still end up leaking and I could not for the life of me get it out. With this cup however it is completely different. It pops open right away and creates a strong seal. To remove it the key is pushing it down with your pelvic floor muscles, and the groves on the cup help you grab it. I love that its grey so it hopefully wont stain as much and the little bag it comes with is so cute!

To painful to use, and almost impossible to get out
Ive been using Diva cups for years, and bought this bc it had a longer stem. I assumed that it meant it was easier to remove. The suction is so strong that it acts like a plunger. On top of that, one cant get a grip on the steam most of the time. It says it needs to be changed every 12hrs, but it wont come out unless i have a bm. Anyways, thats half the problem. Once inserted, it pulls so hard on my insides that it generates more cramps. I had high hopes- a few more holes in the sides may have helped with that suction issue. Im going back to diva until this design gets improved
