Not good
Worked for about two months then temperature way out. Pushed red button on back now screen blank and continuous beeping noise that doesn’t stop until I take battery out. A total waste of money.

Does the job.
I use this to keep track of fridge freezer in garage which is prone to playing up in cold weather. Good value and works well.It says that the screen it isn't to be located inside the fridge but I have previously done just that without issue. The "in" reading can then measure the freezer temperatures whilst the "out" can do the same for the fridge. The min/max readings are essential to know just what has been happening as opposed to other thermometers which just tell you what the temperature is now.Cord can become frayed over time when caught on hinges etc and shows some readings as HHHH on the screen due to shorting. That is totally user error!Update - display suddenly packed up after 15 months, just out of guarantee period. Maybe leaving unit in fridge caused this, who knows, but after a year or so the price isn't too bad.

Battery needed
Shame it came without a battery. You will need a CR03032 button battery. It may mention this on its advert if it did I missed it.

Does not work accurately at low temperatures - so useless for a fridge
I think this would be ok for room or outdoor temperature, but it is a poor product to choose for a fridge. The fridge probe registers temperatures that vary wildly from -5 degrees to +10 degrees at any moment, which is of no use when measuring a fridge that needs to be kept at 5 degrees +/- a couple of degrees. The min/max measurement and alarm is similarly unusable as it will register wild anomalous readings and set the alarm off in the middle of the night when nothing is wrong, claiming the fridge is suddenly operating at room temperature!I know ETI make a calibrated version, which seems to be widely used in commercial situations and costs several times the price, however I expected more from this general use version and cannot recommend it.
