I'm a Dentist and I don't approve of this for baby (first time mom too). We bought it thinking it'll soothe my 4 month old's gums but it doesn't do anything. Here's WHY: in order for any topical to work the surface has to be dry and it must be applied for at least 30 seconds to 1 minute. Babies drool so much and move quick, the stuff isn't going to work in the area that is bothering them.
