Q: what size is the connector? 5/8 or 1/2 inch

regular garden hose size. I have my garden hose connected to a timer and just have the faucet barely on. I used them for my mature trees out front, and they worked very well, especially since California is in drought mode.

The 5-inch might be a typo. From memory it's several feet, and 5 feet seems about right. I have two of them and each of them is double-wrapped (like in the photo) around the trunk of a small (5-inch diameter) tree in the yard with lots of room to grow.

Q: How many gallons per hour?

It slowly disperses .5 Gallons per hour, which is what it takes to throughly soak effectivley dry soil. It doesn't soak a wide area, just where the hose is laid.

Q: Is this 5' in diameter or circumference?

Haven't unroll it to measure length, but sounds about right, because it's about 5 inches diameter rolled up and (2 X pi X 5 in) /12 equals 2.61 feet length, to a doubled length would be 5.23 feet in length . It takes standard garden hose connection. I bought a brass "Y" joint to replace the plastic one with the product, but so far after a year, remaining wrapped around my tree, the plastic joint has not cracked.
