If you dont mind doing a bit of fitting, shimming and filing, it turns out to be a pretty good tanto, that is if you wish to disassemble it like I have, otherwise it comes pretty solidly assembled. There was some light glue bonding the seppas to the tsuba but broke free easily. The tsuka is tightly wrapped with imitation silk ito which feels good in hand, the fuchi and kashira are decently made and have nice designs cast in. It looks like real ray skin same, with what appears to be a fish menuki on one side. The blade had a slight burr on it with a very light blemish towards the edge but I used a strop and it became scary sharp. With the double bo hi and thinned down mune, the blade is fairly light and easily controlled. The saya isn't bad and holds blade snug but not too tight and came with a little scratch but I can live with that as this entire knife fits in my backpack. For the money at $66, it's worth it to me as I really have a thing for Japanese blades but truthfully I would not pay more than that for it

I have been buying real and replicas for a long time now and I have to say, for something this cheap it is surprisingly well made. I had bought replicas at similar price points from many places but this one is exceptionally good.

I liked it the blades on the inside of the blade which is weird and mine also has weird white stuff coming out of the sheith like a dried palamer or glue but besides that it’s cool.

Beautiful and sharp. I have not tried to cut anything but it seems sharp enough to me. Design on saya very detailed. It also came with a carrying bag.
