It feels solid and secure—not something you can just tamper with or break into. I accidentally locked my keys inside and was genuinely amazed when the seller overnighted me a replacement key from Europe for just $50. That kind of customer service is rare and really impressed me.Most importantly, this safe works. If you’re looking for a serious solution for habit control, this is absolutely your best bet. It’s functional, reliable, and surprisingly affordable compared to other options.I’ve tried a few “time lock” gadgets before and none of them came close to this one in terms of build quality and effectiveness. The media could not be loaded. This is a well-made and extremely useful product.I have ADHD. I need all the help I can get controlling my distractions and temptations. I’ve tried various systems and products. None is as good as a Genie Hand safe.There are two time-lock options: the Time Lock Safe (which you program to open on specific days and times) and the Countdown Safe (which locks for a specified duration and can be opened anytime after that period ends).I prefer the countdown timer becauseI don’t need to come up with a schedule ahead of time.Here’s how I use my countdown safe. When I’m preparing to do the kind of work I tend to procrastinate on (writing), I lock up my phone, meds other distractions for 2-3 hours. If I’m worried about missing an important phone call, I connect my phone via Bluetooth to my computer (where I use an app called 1Focus to stay focused).Having purchased 4 safes from Genie Hand over the past two years, I can also say they have great customer service. I have ordered replacement keys, gotten technical support and, in an earlier version of the product, handled an exchange and repair without any hassle.I highly recommend the Genie Hand Countdown Safe. I’ve tried all the competition. Nothing comes close.

Safe delivered promptly and has been very useful, easy to set up and use on day 1. A few days after purchasing I had customer service questions and the manufacturer was prompt to respond and assist. Great product so far!

poorly designed crap. it will lock you iut frequently and you’ll have to use the key to get it opened and leaving the key around negates the ehole reason to get this safe. The interface doesn’t register spins half the time and if you use the key to open it when the time safe is inegaged then it can only be opened with a key until you reset. also you can’t see how long is on the timer while the safe is closed!!!

It works as advertised. It’s a solid steel box that will effectively lock you out of whatever you need help with in terms of self control. And I paid a lot of money for it (about two hundred us), and I’d buy it again. So this review is really a note for ANYONE who would like to compete for my business and can make this product with a smoother locking mechanism. The actual tactile feel of opening and closing this thing is unnerving. The locking mechanism will break eventually, I’m sure, and I’ll be back on the market for this product soon enough, so anyone who wants to do a better version of this, the market will be yours.

It’s better than any other time lock product on the market that I have tried. The only one that is all steel, has secure locking bolts, unpick able, & non pry able-when it’s locked, you must wait for the countdown for it to open. The countdown timer is simple to set. One may want to keep the emergency override key nearby until you're used to using it for any accidental lockouts, & know how you plan to utilize it for your specific needs, then having a trusted person hold keys, until you need them, or a plan that suits you. Have only had short time so I cant speak to longevity. Another great thing about this time lock safe is the customer service! Quite remarkable. You can email them and they will be back with you within 24 hours. They offer email, phone, video calls, on top of literature & educational videos. The Genie Hand – Time Lock Safe Countdown is great for storing medications and other stuff that you would like to put a time limit on. It is very easy to use and program. It is also made of very high-quality materials and has a very nice fit and finish to it. It is the best and only high-quality time lock safe on the market. All others that I have found were made of cheap plastic and lesser grade materials. I have researched time lock safes to great extent, this is the only safe that I would even think about purchasing. Not only is it an awesome safe but at awesome price as well. Thanks Genie Hand!

This device has some usability issues:1) Cannot replace the batteries when the safe is locked (every other e-safe I have used has allowed this)2) Cannot see the countdown timer when the safe is locked (annoying, but still usable)3) Battery compartment does not hold the batteries securely, and often the keypad will not functionProblem 3) combined with problem 1) means that the key is needed all too often to open the safe. It might as well be a keyed lock box.2012-09-12It worked once, but now that it is open it will not lock again. The knob simply won't turn, to throw the bolts. The timer mechanism is not holding up the closing: after entering the code (plus '#'), the device beeps as it does when the timer mechanism has allowed the opening, but the knob still won't turn. It won't turn with the key, either.
