I’ve been using the Genie Hand Time Lock Safe and I have to say — it’s absolutely fantastic. The lock system works flawlessly. I can set the timer to keep the safe closed for as long as I want — whether that’s a few minutes or several days. Once I set the time, it’s completely secure and impossible to open until the countdown finishes. What I love most is how reliable and precise the system is. There’s no way to cheat it or override it once it’s locked, which makes it perfect for controlling access to whatever you store inside — whether it’s snacks, electronics, money, or anything you want to keep out of reach temporarily. When the time runs out, it unlocks automatically, smoothly and exactly as expected. The build quality is solid, and the mechanism gives me full confidence every time I use it. If you’re looking for a time lock safe that actually delivers, Genie Hand nailed it. Highly recommended.

I received this product very quickly. However, it was obviously a returned item, with clear evidence of tampering. The electronics had been disabled, and the face plate that covers the keyhole was broken. I wrote to the manufacturer and received a response almost immediately. They were very helpful and the problem was easily fixed. It's a heavy, sturdy unit and would be impenetrable except for the keys. Since they can be used anytime to access the safe, I purchased a second lock to lock the keys away! You might want to consider a safe deposit box or some other remote storage for the keys. If you lock the keys in the box and things go awry, you can purchase a replacement for $50. Also, be aware there is a Premium level product you can purchase from this supplier that has USB charging in case of battery failure. If I'd known that, I'd have chosen that option. Overall, a great product for those in need of such.

It was honestly great for as long as it worked. Unfortunately after two months the timer stopped working so I could no longer access the safe without the keys. I tried multiple troubleshooting methods but it would not work anymore. I’m also passed the return timeframe so I basically spent $200 for nothing.

Pros: - timed delay lock mechanism - metal enclosure, not plastic - keychain includes screwdriver - batteries included - keychain includes a thoughtful keychain charm - no holes on safe, so basically no loop holes or circumvention around the safe except for the emergency keys - very clear instruction booklet, one should read it since the time delay box is custom made - a very assuring offer of customer support via written or verbal, didn't test it yet, but other customers testify to the reliability of customer support Cons: - no battery charger, so the keys become even more important to keep outside of the safe - lock handles are stiff as other users mentioned - the beep noise notifications is very loud, instructions say to turn know counter clockwise to disable sound, but it doesn't work for me. Overall: This item is perfect for habit control, especially if you have certain items in which the habit depends on, either directly or indirectly. Despite the handles being stiff, it still works and is secure. I find this contraption fascinating since it's almost like a two factor authentication, one is the keypad, and the other is the time delay that needs to transpire. I think it's basically an ordinary safe that you can get much cheaper on Amazon and elsewhere, but with their proprietary time delay box installed at the back of the door that hijacks the lock mechanism. I also notice that you should wait for a secondary mini beep after you enter the code and the time delay has expired before opening the hatch, because then, the lock handle is actually smooth to open. So, if you are looking for a k safe upgrade or a solid habit control box, this is it. If you are looking for an ordinary safe, don't write a bad review for this item and instead get a cheaper safe here or elsewhere. I will update the review later to write on it's reliability and security for habit control, as well as add some pictures. But overall though, for habit control, this safe gives you the confidence that things are secured behind steel walls. It definitely gives you the iron-clad psychological assurance. As long as you're not some advanced/experienced digital lockpicker or safe thief, this should hold you fine.

Best Time Lock Safe on Amazon – Incredible Quality and Support I don’t normally write reviews, but this product deserves it. The Genie Hand Time Lock Safe is incredibly well-made. It feels solid and secure—not something you can just tamper with or break into. I accidentally locked my keys inside and was genuinely amazed when the seller overnighted me a replacement key from Europe for just $50. That kind of customer service is rare and really impressed me. Most importantly, this safe works. If you’re looking for a serious solution for habit control, this is absolutely your best bet. It’s functional, reliable, and surprisingly affordable compared to other options. I’ve tried a few “time lock” gadgets before and none of them came close to this one in terms of build quality and effectiveness. This is the one I trust. I highly reccomend this product. Best product on Amazon with the best people standing behind it.

So much potential but there are some critical flaws. First, the battery compartment is inaccessible from the outside. So if the batteries die, it will not be able to Auto Unlock. If you’re wanting to use this for self discipline like me and you would therefore lock the keys inside, then you risk never being able to get anything back out. The manufacturer should consider adding a USB port like all of the other lock boxes on the market. Second, as some other reviewers have pointed out, is that the locking mechanism is very rigid. It gets stuck and you have to use a lot of force sometimes and it feels like something is going to break. I returned mine immediately, but would consider buying a version 2 that addresses these flaws. IMO there is an opportunity here to own this nitch because there are just no good options available.

I've been using this for a while now, and it's a lifesaver. As someone with SUD, I have a very difficult time not abusing certain meds. Unfortunately, these are meds I do actually need. Looking for a solution for this brought me to this safe. And really, it has been great! I'd opt for the one that doesn't have a slit in the top, as if you're strong willed enough, you can get stuff out thru the slot. Anyway, this has been a huge life saver for me!

The safe is high quality, sturdy, and reliable. I use the time-lock feature to help me curb some of my addictions and it has been working fantastically. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to put something down for a couple hours, up to 99 days. Also, if you ever lose the keys, or lock it in the safe (don't do this!), you can buy a spare from the company with free expedited shipping anywhere to the US, UK, or Canada. Customer support also replies to emails very quickly and are friendly and professional. They're based in Italy so the timing is way off compared to where I live (EST), but they were getting back to me on weekends (even Sundays) which shows that they are dedicated to their customers. 5/5 - Will buy again!

I had some problems with the timer-function of the safe in the beginning, it wasn’t working properly. Luckily the owner of Genie Hand (Dan) is super friendly and very helpful, he responded to my messages very quickly and did everything to get the timer-function working like it should. In the beginning, I thought the safe was a little bit pricey, but now I realise you’re not just paying for the safe itself: top-notch lifelong support is included, for me that makes a big difference. It’s a long-term investment. If you’re thinking about getting this safe too, I wouldn’t let the negative reviews discourage you. I can understand the negative reviews, since I had problems with the safe myself in the beginning. But that doesn’t mean I regret buying the safe! With the help of Dan, it’s working perfectly now. The safe itself, apart from the timer function, is really good. If it’s locked properly, and you don’t have the keys nearby, then I think you would really need to attack it with an iron baseball bat (at the very least) to open it with brute force. The 5-stars are not just for the safe itself, but also for the great customer support.

La serratura è azionata elettricamente o a mano o con la chiave. La chiave bypassa il time-lock. Unico neo: non è prevista una fonte di alimentazione esterna nel caso le batterie di scarichino (durata un anno). Le chiavi vanno quindi tenute fuori e ovviamente devono essere consegnate a persona di fiducia. Il che è seccante.

Very happy with my purchase thanks again the safe is very solid build and the timer is fantastic ya set the time and then it’s locked and if you try and open it with the code it is not going to work unless the timer has come to 0 so it’s fantastic for locking away things you craving so going to buy another one soon thanks again the safe is just what I needed
