I switched from commercial laundry detergent to Norwex, but it is quite a bit more expensive and has to be purchased through a rep, plus shipping. Nellie's is comparable to me. It cleans great, dissolves nicely in cold water and doesn't leave residue or any chemical smells. I put some in a spray bottle to use to spot clean carpets as well. It comes in nice tins lines with a plastic bag for freshness. And yes, one tablespoon cleans a whole load of laundry! Great for everyone - families and anyone who has to go to the laundromat - no bulky bottles to carry. Give it a try!! I've been using it a long time. You won't miss the fake perfumey smell of traditional laundry detergent and the powder is easy to work with, and leaves no smells in front loading machines like others do.

I am so happy with this purchase. The containers the powder detergent comes in are recyclable, the powder detergent is the best option for the environment because you're not using resources transporting water and the container isn't made of plastic, aside from the tiny scoop and the plastic bag that's inside the mental container. This is far less plastic than most liquid detergents therefore it's a win environmentally and price wise. I think it does a fine job cleaning my clothes and it's also gentle on the clothes. I am very pleased with this purchase. Plus the container is a throw back to the 50s.

I have bought and used pounds and pounds of this. I even bought a bucket of it for a close friend when she was doing her grandson's baseball uniforms and the uniforms yielded easily to the odor/stain fighting capabilities of this detergent. It is GREAT and "sweetens" your laundry GENTLY. They also make a "brightener" which I use on my husband's underwear.Now, my one complaint is, that although I have bought probably ten of these tins (along with a bucket from which to refill the tins), I have YET to receive a single tin without a damaged top! WHY do these tins, no matter whom I order them from, always have a dent or two? And I have to look at that dented can with every single use. Of course, the INSIDES of the can remain the same, but it is just annoying as I do like things, "just so"! At least my laundry is now, "just so" but WHY are all the tins (especially the lids) dented?

This came in good time and in good condition. This laundry soda is just right for me and my family. It is all natural, safe for your machine, clothes and body. This doesn't leave a scent in your clothes, which is good because other detergents sometimes leave lingering scents that some could be allergic to. Every part of this rinses out of your clothes. My sister was having constant skin itching. We switched to this and her itching stopped. Once you are done with the soda in the tin, you can use the tin for storing items. Bonus! Never going back to other detergents again!

I have vacation rentals. I wash all sheets and towels with Nellie’s. The sheets smell clean and fresh without all the offensive fragrances that other detergents have. I really appreciate that…and I like the tin can.

It is also a product recommended to me by a friend. After using it, it feels normal, especially when it is delivered to my home, it is very heavy!

Nellies is unscented, and helps keep front loading machines from smelling. Get clothes clean. Very economical.

I have a concern, is the container sealed by scotch tape without a commercial seal? I was thinking if I bought the fake products when I used it today.
