Quick DamFlood Barrier 10ft

I didn't think it would work so I decided not to keep it. I was blessed by Amazon wit the opportunity to keep it...Absorbs inches of water. Best Dam product should be the name of it!

We had a garage that flooded every time it rained hard due to several poor designs. Originally we tried sand bags but they only partially worked. We tried this and it worked great. We constantly had one of these in front of the door. The only downside is disposal once its waterlogged but it saved us more than a few times.

Quick Dam -Easy to use, Open bag, take out and place where needed. Due to numerous floods in my area over last few days I thought this is it, there goes the new dryer, it's going to go under water. My boss told me about this product. Hardest part was delivery day, I waited and waited in anticipation. Only 9 stop more and it would be here. I was like a kid on Christmas morning. Got the item late in the day Fri. to dark to put it out. SAT am, it was done, 27 towels were no match for 2 of the10 ft Quick Dam's. Worked like a charm! Dear Santa, Please bring me 2 more bags for Christmas.. TY

Holds back some water but takes forever to dry out.

Used to help prevent rain water from heavy downpours from coming in my garage. It worked very well for blocking water flow. My only complaint is it is really only good for one or two uses, which I didn't realize when I ordered it. I have 2 single doors, each about 9 ft wide and column in the middle. Make sure you order one long enough. The 10 ft size was perfect for mine. I even had a little extra length on the ends to fold it back on itself. Contains a gel- like substance inside that expands when it gets wet (much like regular baby diapers used to do when worn in the swimming pool). After using, I set it outside in the sun to see if it would dry. It shrunk somewhat but basically remained wet. I was able to carry it / move it but it was a bit heavy and handled like I was holding a long snake. I used it again for another rain storm and it worked fine. I ended up leaving it outside in the weather to block the flow of sand and dirt along my driveway and it eventually split open.

We have a driveway that slopes down from the street, so water runs towards the garage. I noticed that about 8 feet of the driveway brought in about 80% of the water. I put this across the driveway next to the street and is really solved the problem. Not sure how long it will last, but my neighbors have been using the same ones for 3 years. We pull it into full sun when not in use and it dries out pretty quickly. Great product.

So far so good, easy set up

Yes, these are easy to lay out and let the rain get them wet and then they swell. But they really didn’t take care of any other drainage issues, which were minor, and they fell apart with gross gel crap all over my driveway. And then you have to throw them away, they are heavy and gel gets everywhere. I’d return them if I could, But what a mess! Don’t bother, sandbags work better.
