INTERTECK PACKAGING 5 LBs Premium Quality White Silica Gel Bulk Desiccant Beads, Industry Standard 2-5mm - Rechargeable (Non-Indicating)

I primarily bought these beads for use in the storing of 3D printer filament. The attached pictures show blue indicator beads that I added to the plain white beads. They were removed from desiccant containers I was replacing with a new design. The fact that they stayed blue after mixing with the white is an indication that the beads I received were in good, unsaturated, condition. They will permit me to monitor the condition of the beads in the container over time.The beads themselves were in good, unbroken, condition as can be seen in the picture of the beads added to a printed container. There was no issue of dust or fragments leaking from the container perforations after filling. As can be seen in the photo, the packaging is currently a screw top jug. The seal appears adequate for keeping out humidity as there has been no change in the indicator beads since mixing them in.To reiterate, THE BLUE INDICATOR BEADS DID NOT COME WITH THE PRODUCT. I added them myself after opening the container.

This is to keep my older convertible car from getting damp and moldy on the inside. It was very expensive to have it professionally cleaned of mold, and I want to keep it from happening again. I filled two cotton bags with this silica gel, and I will probably order more because you have to change it out every so often. It's already made the car feel less damp. I wanted to start by ordering just one can so I could see if it works, so my advice would be to buy two, because it does work.

I use hearing aids and wear them while exercising and when outside. It turns out they don't like it when there is a lot of perspiration and they operate erratically when moisture gets in. The manufacturer did not offer a good solution other than ' keep them dry'. Now I when I take them off for the evening I remove the batteries and place the aids in a sealed container with a quantity of the beads. I have not had a malfunction since using the drying agent so maybe it is working as I hoped. The 5 pound container should last me for the rest of the summer and the easy to reseal lid should keep the unused product dry until I need it.

I am using this for drying flowers from my garden. Used up the whole can on just a few peonies.I will see how they come out in a few days. Wish the silica was finer, more like sand.

This is like a little over 450 of the 5gm little packets. The item arrived in time. The can says they are reusable, probably by reactivating in the oven. They do not seem to turn color when used though. I used coffee filters to make my own silica packets.Don't eat it

Great value for the price. I used them to preserve flowers from my mom's funeral.
