Wonderfully Made: Girl Devotional for Ages 08 to 11 (Bible for Girls)

My daughters are really enjoying this lovely book.

The title of this book is so perfectly apt – it is wonderfully made, wonderfully written and just generally quite wonderful! 8-11 years old can be a really daunting time for a young girl as so many changes start happening both mentally and physically and I really think that this devotional book is going to be a guide to getting them through.We all know how easy it is for our minds and/or our faiths to falter as a result of too much physical or mental change in one's life and having a guide like this specifically for girls is going to give them the metaphorical handhold that they need.Its got a really bright cover to help draw them in, it’s not too long which is key for grabbing this age groups attention and is split into days/sections in order to allow them small sections of scriptures, bible verse and prayers to help keep them believing in the reasons they were created and what for.Highly recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a girl for a young girl in this age group.

I am really pleased that I purchased this book. It serves as a good introduction to Bible Study. Each chapter is appropriately titled with something familiar such as 'sea animals' or 'rainbows'. Relevant passages from the bible are included which might be difficult for the child to understand, however I would always accompany my child when completing their bible study to answer any questions they have about the text. That being said, the author does share some insight into the passage through the key words, and tries to make it relevant to the child reading. It would be nice if the book was a little more interactive beyond simply a bedtime prayer. I think that making it more interactive such as including craft activities that link to the passages, or questions to think about at Sunday School or similar may help the child understand more about this book. Overall though I am looking forward to continuing through this book with my child and seeing where their spiritual journey takes them.

Our daughter loves

First of all, I’m glad to say this is such a sweet book for young girls! Due to Covid, some of my extended family has had to choose to stay in and not participate in Sunday school and vacation services like they usually would. Fortunately, I’ve been able to help out my niece and her parents in finding some resources for self study at home this summer.Another great quality about this study book is the way it’s written. Some guides meant for children can come off as boring or too dry to keep your little ones’ attention, but with the metaphors and way the author explains ideas and important morals/messages it really is made to captivate and keep their attention! For example, when going through the message of how our beautiful world was created and the impact of water and the earth, the author takes the time to carefully explain and give an example of baking cookies. Meaning there was certain steps purposefully carried out to eventually receive a completed work! Overall, my seven year old niece has been loving this study guide, as it’s simple way of explaining makes learning easy to understand and enjoyable.

This is amazing for my daughter and I to do! Such good daily devotions at the appropriate age level.
