Good history
High marks for the written content and history, and lots of photos, but disappointingly only the last few pages are in color.

Great book filled with primary resources
All though the font is small as one customer complained it is a fabulous book filled with several primary sources and information about the Macy’s day parade. Several photos are in black and white but as the parade started in 1924 this was as expected! The book also has several photos of actually newspaper articles and ads. I bought it to us as a resource to teach my 4th graders about the origin of the Macy’s day parade. Although the material is above their reading level the photographs and newspaper artifacts were just what I was looking for!

The Definitve Story of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
I had the chance to read this and speak with the author for my podcast called Shaping Opinion. It was really interesting to learn the history of the parade and what makes it so special. But it's more than a parade. There are many personalities who made it what it is today. Loved the interview, and loved the book, and you will, too.

History needs to be told!
Finally a book that gets history correct! Too bad Arcadia did not make this a large format hard cover book, but it is a fact based history based on research and information available at the time that details the events history in a easy to read and follow time-line! Great pics, posters and facts!
