One Time Read
At first sight, Theresa falls in love with her husband, Alessandro. After one year and three-quarters of a loveless marriage as an unloved wife, Theresa decides it's time to leave. However, Alessandra would only give her divorce if she gives him a son. Everything changes when Theresa asks for divorce because Alessandra now wants her. After too many months of their marriage, Alessandra truly desires Theresa or the son from her, or there is a far deeper truth concealed in his actions that keeps him from approaching her.The Unwanted Wife is a different and unique story and an emotional ride. The first half of the story is a roller coaster of emotions. The writing style is fantastic, and it transports me to the depths of Theresa's pain. I really enjoy how the author writes about Theresa's character growing from naive to stubborn and, most significantly, the point about the differences between love and trust in marriage or relationships. The chemistry between Sandro and Theresa is mind-blowing, and it will keep you hooked till the finish.Although, I connected with Theresa and sympathized with her. I didn't have the same feelings for Sandra, and the other characters did not have any descriptive bonds. The story mostly relies on Sandro and Theresa, and the other characters are just others. Theresa's relationship is closer to her cousin's husband than her cousin, whom she often referred to as her closest and only best friend. Most of the story feels like a guilt trip from both characters to each other, and the climax happens so quickly that I missed it.Overall it is an engaging story with fresh concepts, angst, and longing romance. It can be read-only once.

4.5 stars
This book was absolutely heartbreaking up until 48% I really liked the writing style and because of that, Theresa's pain felt so real to me and it made me cry a lot whenever she openly expressed her feelings to Sandro. While I love the groveling that Sandro had to do for gaining her trust and love back again, I feel like he should have suffered some more. Maybe it's because some parts about his groveling were more telling rather than showing and also because I hated his family, (except his dad) I just didn't buy their sudden affection with Theresa in the end. That's the only negative thing I have to say about this book but overall it was really good, filled with extreme emotions, angsty and made Sandro grovell throughout the book lol!

Logically romantic
Very well written. The h isn't a doormat at all. She just made the best out of the situation. She was grounded and practical. Voicing her non-trust often got a bit on my nerves. Realistic characterisation of H and h.

Woven with thoughts and sensitiveness in each phase.
The story is not extraordinary bit the writing style is surely one. The story has been woven around a left out girl from the richer section of the society who had everything except the 'love' and approval of his father. Alessandro the husband of capable of the love but denied her the same for long, how she turns around shocking everyone is all about the story with many twist and turns in between.

A series of emotions.
What a fabulous book this was.Usually, I don't write reviews anywhere but this time I seriously couldn't help myself.I completed this story in a single sitting and would love to read more by this author.Theresa our protagnist is a broken beautiful woman, battling her own demons and living in a dying marriage. I felt tears at many places, definitely a masterpiece.

M&B nostalgia! Loved it!
When I was in my late teens/early 20s, my one guilty reading pleasure was sneaking a few Mills & Boon romances. I loved them for their alpha heroes, especially if they were European and peppered their speech with endearments in their mother tongue, even when you knew they despised the heroine but continued to lust after them. LOLWell, this story made me feel very nostalgic for those M&B books. A book friend had raved about this story recently and I've been sitting on this series for...five flippin' years(!!) - after purchasing each one for 1GBP! Shocking, I know! LOLAnyway, adored it! I couldn't put the darn thing down and stayed up until stupid o'clock to finish it and have only had five hours sleep. So, yeah, Theresa and Alessandro's story just totally hooked me."Why would you even want a child with a woman you despise?"Theresa went into their marriage with hearts in her eyes but she got a rude awakening almost as soon as they were married. She persevered but, deep inside, her love and her spirit were slowly withering from Sandro's cold treatment and dismissal of her, and her failure to give him the only thing he seems to want out of their marriage. The only place they showed harmony was in the marital bed, which despite his seeming hatred of her, where he insists she sleeps. When revelations come to light, we start seeing a change in Sandro. Just as Theresa is finally asserting her independence, it appears that he is just starting to make the effort to know his wife."I have this life, with you. It's the only one that matters to me."True to an M&B hero, Sandro is a commanding and possessive SOB but full of passion. We see his loyalty to his family and what he's willing to do to make them happy. We see plenty of what Theresa is feeling and thinking but only him through her eyes, but we get plenty of clues about the change of heart that he's going through. Theresa herself goes through a big change from a needy doormat to someone full of fire and stubbornness. Her dogged stubbornness is to the point of annoying but we can see she's totally pushing Sandro's buttons to the limit. I loved that sometimes he reacted angrily to it and, other times, he displayed the patience of a saint.I thoroughly enjoyed the storytelling - the fieriness between them, the love scenes (my favourite is the one where they kiss for the first time and he can't seem to get enough of her), and their emotional journey to finding their truths (yep, totally had tears on my pillow whilst reading this story!).

Unforgettable Read
Escape into my Reads Book BlogI absolutely adored The Unwanted Wife by Natasha Anders, it was a beautiful and emotional read that I would re-read to fall in love with the characters all over again. The angst and emotional blackmail between Theresa and Sandro was hot, I could feel just how much they really loved each other but were so caught up in misunderstandings of what their marriage meant to the other. Alessandro is cold towards Theresa as he makes demands for a son but Theresa is no doormat as she counteracts with a divorce. The storyline had the right mix of drama, romance and sex. It was so easy to love Sandro even when he was cold towards Theresa, he was sexy, possessive and in love with his wife no matter what he denied to himself. The Unwanted Wife stayed with me long after I finished reading it and I could not pick another book up for a while.

Great romance read!
What a great romance read by Natasha Anders!I was recommended this book by a few friends lately and im glad i bit the bullet and actually got round to reading it... it was such a good story to fall into and as much as you kinda thought how it would work out i really enjoyed how it was actually written and didnt lose my interest through out.Theresa was basically sold by her father in a deal when she married Sandro.. although she was the one and only person who didnt realise! Nothing worse than being in love with someone who doesnt love you back.Emotions.. love.. angst with a kick ass lead what else could you want?I will definitely read more by this author!

A good romantic novel
What a surprise this book was. Sometimes with self published free reads there is an experience of disappointment. This wasn't for me.As soon as I start a book I know very quickly whether I am going to "get into it" by the first chapter. I got into this from the opening paragraph.I love books with this type of storyline - angsty, cold male - I am a sucker for romance and believe in happy ever afters and I read this hoping that Theresa and Allessandro would have their HEA.The story starts with Theresa and Allesandro having sex. Theresa turns to him lovingly but he kills the moment with five words - "give me a son Theresa". What the reader doesn't realize at this point is that Allesandro has been blackmailed by her father to marry her and the only way out is to give her a son.Theresa decides enough is enough and provides five words of her own "I want a divorce, Allesandro". Unfortunate timing as Theresa discovers she is pregnant. There is a number of powerful and emotional scenes in this story as Allesandro realizes he is about to lose something he does care about. He wants to save the marriage and tries to heal the rift between him and his wife.Yes there were a few minor issues with the plot but that did not detract from the storyline. This for me was a well written story and a plot that I love. Does Allesandro get the son he desires? Read the story to find out.It is a sweet romantic read and I will certainly look at further books by Natasha Anders.

What a pleasure
I have just discovered Natasha Anders and what a pleasure. Before reading these books I was reading a book by another author and I had to finish it to know what happened in the end, I was so tempted to just stop reading it. It read like a bullet points on a essay, so I never really got into the book. But I'm glad I did persevere because in the recommendations from Amazon I found this wonderful author. So finding Natasha and reading her books was like a breath of fresh air, I love her style of writing and I am really enjoying the Unwanted series. As soon as I start reading her books I am hooked, they have everything you want in a good story, drama, gossip, love and happy ever afters. Keep them coming Ms Anders, Please!
