disappointing. dont buy it.
i watch so many reviews about this and they raved it so i decided to buy it for my trip. it would connect for 10mins and disconnect saying it cant reach my bluetooth. it would turn off by itself and you just have to pray it connects on your phone or else its completely unuseable. so frustrating. i just stopped trying after the 3rd day.

High quality gimbal for a good price
This is my first stabilizer for a smart phone. My LG smart phone does have built in stabilization but I wanted something for more proffesional results. I didn't want to spend a lot of money but I still wanted a quality product.This gimbal stabilizer was in my price range and turned out to be a great purchase. It seems to be of really good quality and works great. It's small enough not to be left at home and also have some really cool features.The image stabilization in my phone is often "good enough" but for more proffesional results it's hard to beat a good dedicated stabilizer (I know that now). Also worth mentioning is that the IS in my phone is digital (not optical) and will crop the image to some degree with a loss of quality as a result. A gimbal will obviously not have this negative effect on image quality.This gimbal, a good ND filter and a cheap external mic is really all I need to make great videos on my phone. It's a small investment that makes a big difference for anyone serious about making high quality videos on their smart phone.

Great device
This is a great device and works perfectly with my OnePlus 5T. I've been using it for about 6 months now (from Jan 2021-Jun 2021 so far). Battery life is good. Phone get warm when being used with it, bcz of Bluetooth connectivity, ofc. Easy to use and straightforward.Four (4) things I'd like to be improved are:1) slower pan and tilt speeds2) more give in the joystick so that when I move it a cm across or up or down, it doesn't move the entire subject of of shot or that I'll have jerky panning footage. The movement is too sudden when I pan/tilt.3) zoom needs to be worked on. Again, jerky and sudden movements when I use the zoom controls. On screen I'll see the distance in numbers moving, but it's not being reflected in actuality, and then when it gets closer to the end of the scale, it just zooms in. Same thing happens when zooming out. Eg. Let's say the ocal length ranges between 1.5x-5.0, between 1.5x-3.5x, the only thing that changes are the numbers on screen. Then at 4.0x-5.0x, it actually starts zooming in and does so quickly.4) allow for audio source from plug in mics. If you're in a windy area and use a lavalier mic, there's no audio from it. Kinda counterproductive and sucks.

Works Great!
I love this thing! Make sure every part is unlocked, and have your phone properly on it before you turn it on. Otherwise it won’t work.

Does not work with iPhone 13 max
I did a lot of research before deciding to buy this gimbal. When looking up different options, I made sure to consider the weight of my phone, since it’s a larger model. Although this gimbal said it’d fit my phone, I had to stretch the phone holder all the way open and it still barely fit. Then, once it was finally in the holder, it was too heavy for the gimbal to stay upright. I tested this by using my partners phone, which is an smaller model. It worked just fine with his phone, but not with mine. Just something to consider!

battery drains quickly, forced to create an account, bluetooth connection inconsistent
Battery barely lasts. I have it fully charged and it's drained very quickly - barely get 1.5 hrs of use with it.It also doesn't hold a charge even if I were to use it for 10 mins now, power it off and then use it maybe later in the day and power it on. I see the battery has already drained even without use.When it does cooperate and work, it seems to work fine. The angle adjustment seems to want to do it's own thing from time to time even with m manually pushing the thumb joystick to adjust the camera angle if I want to point the camera at something low to the ground.Bluetooth is iffy at times and sometimes isn't there. You may need to power off and power on the device again to get a good sequence to connect to the phone.Not happy that I have to create an account to use the Hohem software.I was expecting better from this thing but was disappointed.
