9192 EGR Valve

Purchased product because it was advertised with gasket. Returned due to this and another one was delivered to me. Guess what same scenario. No gasket, however because of time restraints I have no choice but to go to a local store and purchase a gasket because I'm ready to install and put my Mustang back on the road. This is a review based on service rather than the product performance. I hope and pray that it does what its designed to do.

My check engine light came on. Checked DLC with my OBD 2 Scan tool. DLC displayed code PO401(exhaust gas recirculation - insufficient flow detected). Replaced both the EGR valve and DPFE sensor. Not sure which one may have been at fault but figured I would replace them both since they were probably original equipment. They were relatively inexpensive through Amazon and I thought I might as well replace them with new ones. I have a 1999 Expedition with 209000 miles and wasn't going to take any chances. Since replacing them, I have not had any problems. Worked good, fit well and corrected the malfunction.

Picture shows the gasket, and in Q&A it said gasket comes with it, but no gasket with this one. I knew it was listed as used-like new, so an opened package didn't bother me, but no gasket was unexpected. Guess I have to make a trip to local parts store and hope I can buy just the gasket.

Fits great in my 1998 Ford F-150 4.6L V8 engine. I replaced my original EGR valve and tube while trying to run down the pesky P0171 error code. Rust had appeared on the tube and on the valve. I wasn't sure that original part was functioning properly anymore. Came with a new gasket to connect to the throttle body. The gasket holes for the connecting bolts were slightly small, but didn't impede the install. It arrived promptly, and was undamaged. I did have to adjust the angle that the valve was connected on the tube so that it would align with the engine just right. That wasn't hard to do.

Just what I needed: OEM part at half the price of local retailer (Autozone/O'reilly). Sooner than expected shipping made it all worthwhile. Fit perfectly. Life is good. Even better with no check engine light. Thanks much!

This EGR works fine on my Ford F150, 1997. No problem with this. It works. My old one was rusted and I did not trust it. This one went right in. Nothing to do with this EGR, but the bolts didn't come out easy.
