Anker customer service gets 5 stars
Purchased item and seemed to work fine at first. Then it got where it would not work in one port, after a while I would have to replug several times to get the second monitor to work until it finally just quit working. Anker customer service gets 5 stars as they reached out to me for resolution.

Don't buy this, it broke again
Worked fine for about 6 mo then we had a few hiccups. Now after 8 mo total it is inop. It won't work with my wife's Dell which is why we originally purchased and also won't work with my HP. Do not buy this product, it should last longer than 8 mo. I'll contact customer service and see what happens.9/14/2023 - Update - Well Anker customer support was great and they replaced it broken one at no cost. Now, after using the new replacement for another 8-9 month my ethernet port has died. I tested my ethernet cable to make sure they were operating, my wifi still worked, and even changed ethernet ports at my router and still the same problem. I plugged into an ethernet to usb-c adapter i had laying around and the computer "magically" connected, so it's the ethernet port on the Anker Docking station that is bad. I like Anker products, I have plenty of them, however don't buy the docking station. Look somewhere else.

It just works … and that’s a good thing!!!
I think we can all sympathize with the fact that todays laptops do not have enough ports, unless your just checking your email and watching cat videos. I really didn’t want one of those porta-hubs with the 6 inch USB connectors. They are the worst . I had this mini hub dangling from my laptop with wires streaming from it. It looks like someone shot a confetti gun from my usb port. Anyway I began my noble quest for fire… um… I mean a cool stationary dock. There were 100s of choices….. that were hundreds of dollars, so that was a deal breaker since I’m pretty cheap. I started with the Anker 651 USB-C Dock, 8-in-1 Docking Station. It was inexpensive and seemed like it might do the job. Well, it was great in theory, not so much in practice. There was something funky with the hdmi port. I couldn’t get it to work with one laptop and i couldn’t get the hub to power a different laptop. I’m sure it had something to do with my stone aged equipment, but. I didn’t have the time or patience to troubleshoot the dozens of things that could be messing things up. So after I sent it back to the old warehouse in the sky, I spent what seemed like 30 or so minutes of searching…. Give or take 20 minutes, I ran across this little gem. It doesn’t promise to daisy chain 12 monitors, or cause rifts in time and space. It did however, promise to add ports, power your laptop and work with windows and Mac. Guess what??? It did just that. In the grand scheme of things, it’s a product that works. Also, it was reasonably priced( I did mention I’m cheap). So, here’s the deal. The build quality is pretty good. It has a solid power supply (it is an Anker product), and. It works without any fuss. If you like it when things do what they’re supposed to, without paying a small fortune for that privilege , then this is a pretty good bet.

Works for Windows and Steam Deck, but not Macbook
Wanted a dock that'll support my Windows laptop, MacBook Air, and Steam Deck.Gladly, plug and play immediately outputs to both monitors on extended mode for Windows and Steam Deck. However for the Macbook Air, the 2nd Display is 'Out of Range'. I've tried what Anker recommended in the Q&A: OS is up to date, tried connecting monitors directly and displays correctly, tried different cables. The monitor on the left is DP and the right is HDMI. I did notice if I unplug the left monitor, the right monitor will display so it seems like the dock can only handle one output?I also noticed when first plugged in, the monitor display goes out after a minute so I have to unplug it and plug it back in.I highly recommend for Steam Deck. I do not recommend for Mac.UPDATE-Anker reached out to satisfy my concerns. I will be keeping it because it does work with my Windows PC and Steam Deck which are priority over Mac.

Great!
This dock station is very well-built and supports external hubs seamlessly. I connect my mouse, keyboard, headphones, two external hard drives, and it still charges my MacBook while in use. It also enables 4K monitor access at 144fps without any issues. Honestly, it’s amazing! I don’t see any need to spend more on a pricier model when this one does everything so well. Highly recommended!
