Hi! For a toaster oven with such a large interior it fits well in the corner of my kitchen, and it works great so far. Easy to make toast as you like it and doesn't take too long. Then of course the rest of it works along the order of a full size oven-- is great for cooking that second thing that you can't put in the oven with the main dinner because the temperatures are different, or there's no room for two casserole dishes, or you don't want to have to dilute the heat by having more than one item in there at once. Or just cook a full lasagna in there-- a basic pan fits! A few people mentioned that it's louder than a typical toaster oven, but I think they're not realizing that it's a *convection* oven. Those always have a little bit of an extra fan sound. I think the noise is negligible--I hardly notice.

These Black & Decker ovens (same goes for the 6 slice version of this oven) have a few advantages over other toaster ovens.1. The quartz heating elements heat up at least twice as fast as the ordinary metal elements in most ovens.2. The controls are simple and logical knobs - no annoying touchpad or digital controls to break.3. When the timer reaches its end, there's a simple "ding", no annoying electronic beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, like most appliances have.4. With these B&D toaster ovens you can do much (for us, most) of what we used to use the big range oven for. This oven's big enough for pizzas, cake pans, casseroles, and most other baking dishes. All you'll need your big range oven for is Thanksgiving turkey, and other oversize baking jobs.

We've had B&D toaster ovens before. Pretty dependable and lasts a long time. This new one is fine and has plenty of room, but there are a few minor issues. First, the controls are hard to read. The silver line and dot on the edge of the knobs is difficult to see. Fit of the unit's panels is not great - seams are uneven.Crumb pan is OK, but lots of stuff gets caught under the door or in spots that are not easy to access.Fan makes a lot of noise - sounds like it is about to take off!Overall a decent device, but not as good as previous B&D models we've had.

After reading all the reviews, I was worried that this toaster oven wouldn't work for recipes that required temperatures above 350°, which is a lot of what I make. But since the igniter keeps going out in my (piece of junk, don't ever purchase) Frigidaire Gallery Series Range, I needed an alternative. I have used it daily now, just for toast, for about a week and have gotten a feel for how long it takes to bake things. Today, I tried a Dutch Baby (German pancake), which requires 425° for 20 minutes, and it worked great! It actually baked quicker than in my range - it was starting to get a little brown on the top edge after only 15 minutes in this toaster oven.It was easy to use. I like the fact that I can increase or decrease the temperature in the middle of cooking without needing to start back into another preheat cycle (which was what kept me from buying an air fryer). I definitely recommend this product!

There is no way of knowing when the temperature reaches the desired number.

This is a great counter top mini oven. It runs a little hot, but once you get use to the temperature settings, its fine. The top knob is to set the temperature to use the oven setting, the middle knob is for setting the timer for the convection oven, and the bottom knob is for setting the timer for the toaster feature. If you want to toast something turn the knob on the top all the way to the left until it clicks then use the bottom knob to set the timer. Usually 10 minutes is enough, but until you get use to how hot it runs don't walk away watch it to make sure it doesn't burn. To use the convection oven setting turn the top knob to the desired temperature, then turn the second knob to set the timer. The broiler setting is very hot too so don't walkaway or if you set the timer it might burn. I have mine in the corner under my kitchen cabinets because I don't have much counter top space in my kitchen. All in all I love this BLACK AND DECKER 8 SLICE EXTRA WIDE TOASTER OVEN, IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT.

The only negative are the knobs. Not for me, but I can see a problem for someone with weak fingers, because they are stiff and smooth. I do not like buttons and that is a major reason why I chose this model over it's buttoned twin. Otherwise except for large size is exactly what I wanted, a pleasing to the eye toaster oven that toasts, bakes and broils that doesn't cost and arm and a leg! It performed well in the initial tests, didn't get too hot on the outside. I would rather have it take less of a footprint on the counter, but didn't want a dreary gray ugly duckling staring me in the face every time I was in the kitchen. I have two larger ovens so don't need another, but sacrificed to get an apparent quality product. Everything fits and wrorks perfectly. Nice HD chrome plated rack, with removable coated metal drip pan bracketed underneath. There is even a safety stop to keep from accidentally pulling the rack out too far and dumping out.

Wow. Finally I got what I wanted. This was my third intent in 2 weeks. The first one, it was too small. The second one, too sofisticated for my wife. She cannot handle it. I didn't return it because I thraw away all paking stuff. I gave it away to a relative. This, is perfect for our needs. Thank you B&D and Amazon.

Seller did not warn me before pruchase that this required a Voltage Converter, and the seller decided to EDIT AND ADD to the description only after me debating with him AFTER purchase. Most voltage converters are priced at approx same rate as the oven itself. This makes it very impractical to go in for this brand with US ratings as compared to readily available other international brands in the market. The Seller has been dishonest on this one. Im rating this three star instead of a five. The product is really nice though/

I like it. When we travel with our LQ Horse Trailer we Use a BBG and the Oven outside under the Awning. Keeps Cooking Smells out of the LQ. I’m now looking for a Small Cover for it when we keep on one of the tables outside. Follow the instructions for Cooking and it turns stuff out just like at home. Better variety of meals when in Az for the winter

keeps tripping and converters don't help. otherwise very powerful and good product

I know, Black and Decker is a cheap brand, but during the last 3 or 4 years their products are becoming worse and worse, it is a shame how a company is willing to throw away a brand, the "toast r oven" has been an emblematic product for the brand since i have a memory. We have had one at home at my parents house and when I moved i had my own, when my last tost r oven died (after several years of service) i decided to buy another one.I was hesitant because during the last years Black and Decker seems to have focused only on making things cheaper and cheaper without considering the impact on quality.Since first time I used it i noticed how noisy it is, made of cheap thin metal, that vibrates like a 50 year old car, after a few weeks it stopped working, when i called customer service it suddenly started working again.I am totally disappointed with the brand, make yourself a favor, pay a few dollars more and get something better, the money you save is not worth the inconvenience and at the end you will end up changing it for another one. If you can not afford something better, go with another cheap brand, B&D is not worth the risk.
