This item is fantastic for use on a bookcase. If you've run out of dresser draw space or else (like me) you want to put the dresser from your bedroom set somewhere else than the bedroom, this item is the way to go. You can buy an attractive oak or mahogany (good quality) bookshelf and then use these baskets for storage. They look fantastic. In the bedroom, I use one basket for underwear and other for socks. A third - the longer version of this product - is used for shorts and culottes. The height goes to the top of the shelf thus the contents of the baskets are not visible. It makes for a very attractive picture esp with medium oak colored wooden bookshelves. One shelf can be used for rings and loose change, keys, etc just the way a dresser top would function. I have a small Lane wooden box and a bright orange ceramic pumpkin for this purpose (holds keys, change, rings, etc.) The bottom and very top shelf can still be used for books. The end result is that this arrangement makes an extremely attractive substitute for a dresser. I also have a second set of these baskets which I am using in my office which has custom made mahogany bookshelves. One shelf is reserved for two of these baskets wherein I store office supplies - tape, staples, pens, pencils, glue, whatever. Again, the baskets fill up the entire space of the shelf thus the contents are not visible. These baskets look great with either oak shelves or dark mahogany shelves. Either way, the look is quite attractive.

I've got six of these little baskets now, and they stack well on these folding metal shelves I found. You can actually get wood racks that match the baskets, but the metal shelving units are lighter and fold for easy moving.As reviewers say, these baskets are NOT espresso. They're closer to the color of cherry wood. They aren't huge in size, but that's one of their charms because they fit in tight spaces. They are sturdy. I've stored my heavy winter boots and shoes in them.Measure carefully to be certain these are the size basket you want. I initially purchased these for papers -- but that didn't work out because regular size paper doesn't really fit that well in these baskets. You could stand your magazines and papers upright in them, but magazines and papers tend to bend and wilt into the basket. Yet, once I realized I need a different basket for papers (the wicker file box is perfect for that) I found I had lots of uses for these baskets -- enough that I went on to buy two more sets of these baskets.

I bought these baskets to put in a cupboard to help with organization and for that purpose, I love them. They are the absolute perfect size and are very stiff and sturdy when grabbing on and off a shelf. I do think that for what they are, they are over-priced but then I can't seem to find anything else of the same quality for any cheaper so this is a good choice, I think. If you are looking for something to use on a shelf for storage, I would recommend them. The only reason I rated a four instead of five is that I am more of a fan of baskets that are a little more malleable. These are not very forgiving which makes me think they aren't as long-lasting which may or may not be true. It's really just a personal preference for me.

I love these! I got these to go with nightstands that I ordered. They work great. There is a lot of room for us personally. Depends on what you like to store in your bedside table. The only problem I have with them is that they are sort of see through. But that is to be expected with wicker type products which is what I wanted to begin with. I am giving it 4 stars because the handles are really uncomfortable and scratch my hands when I go to open them. I have debated on adding ribbon or something to them to make it less scratchy.

I like it, it will work nicely with the Westley Brown 3-Tier Shoe Tower Coat Rack I received. However! They arrived damaged. The box was slightly beat up, not too bad. But the inner basket (they inserted one inside the other) had major damage. One of the inside metal edges on the bottom had been smushed in and the wicker thus was all smushed and damaged. Looks like whoever stacked one basket inside the other forced it and caused the damage. So I requested a replacement which is on it's way. Hopefully no trouble with this one. The baskets will look very nice inside my shoe tower!

I was a little concerned due to the other reviews that these baskets would not match the color in the picture. well guess what, they match perfectly!They seem to be very well made and the handles are very sturdy, sturdier than I was expecting. There was a smell when I opened the box, not over powering and it went away quickly. I guess this is expected though it happens sometimes with new stuff.Over all good value baskets. I saw some at Walmart that were similar for $9.99 each but these are by far much better quality. I think they are worth the money and I would definitely buy again. I used them for under my one draw bedside tables (South Shore Furniture, Prairie Collection, Night Table with open case, Country Pine)which I also bought through Amazon and they fit but there is room for a slightly wider one.In short good quality, good price, worth the money.

These are pretty good baskets, but you should know that they ARE NOT standard cube sized. I bough them to fill the bottom row of a 4x2 ikea bookshelf that we had put sideways. Not a super great fit for those.That being said, they were the PERFECT size for another bookshelf that we had purchased (  BUSH FURNITURE Alamosa Ladder Bookcase ) to add some extra storage on the bottom shelf. They are the perfect fit width-wise. Pictures attached.

Quick fast delivery. A bit rough to touch and may scratch the surface of shelf it's sitting on with the pulling out of basket. Have to put pads on bottom to prevent this.
