I have used "Grandma's Molasses" and I will again, but I would say Grandma's Molasses has a very strong flavor. A recipe for "Cowboy Beans" called for 1/2 cup (4 oz.) of molasses, 135 ounces of various types of beans, 1 lb. bacon, 1 lb. ground beef, 3 small onions, and various of other ingredients. The flavor of the molasses was very noticeable in the finished product. Note; this was a large pot of beans, about 1.5 gallons. I will only use 1/4 cup (2 oz.) of the molasses the next time I make this recipe.
