PetierWeit Hay Bale Bag: Ordered this to help keep my trailer clean when camping. Keeps particles of hay from flying around compartment to help keep air quality better for horses while on the road, plus keeps the hay cleaner. Previously covered hay with sheets for this purpose, but this works even better (will need a few more). Will hold even a large 'small' square of hay or straw. Also will hold several filled hay nets. Well-constructed for storing hay or straw but would not recommend carrying bales in it; would need a much more solidly built (thus probably more expensive) bag to hope to do that and have it last. The seams at the bottom are not that deep or reinforced with a heavy-duty binding and the nylon strapping only runs down the side and not across the bottom, where the weight of the bale would stress the bag the most. Appreciate the ventilation holes to allow hay to stay fresh. If they had not referred to the bag as both a tote and storage bag I would have given it five stars, cause it meets that rating as a storage bag, but not as a tote - which implies it will handle carrying around bales.

Not sturdy

Really liked this hay bag as it fit full size bales but after very first use the zipper broke and totally fell off and there is only one zipper so can’t close the bag at all. Guess I’ll use it as a saddle cover as it’s pointless as a bag now
