I was VERY hesitant about the design reading other reviews, but very happy now receiving them. Just remove base and screw from inside spring. Screw base to wall. Put spring back on and wind clockwise. Very sturdy.Black (as pictured. not bronze). The only bronze part is the rubbed area you can't see under the base.Easy install, great quality. Spring is thick and sturdy. Cap is rubbery-plastic.I bought because they were cheaper than buyinv the replacement caps only. I planned to pull the caps off, but these are much nicer than my decent old ones. So i just replaced all the stops completely, in minutes. I did pull caps off three extra to put on the door stops installed above on some hinges, and they fit perfect there too! Well, my husband got the caps off (with some major twisting effort required) , since I couldn't budge them. Very happy!I paid full price, found this completely on my own, and nobody asked me to leave feedback of any sort. I'm just really happy!

At first, I thought there were no screws. There were no instructions.The screws were cleverly secured inside the stopper: getting them out kind of “explained” how they went into the wall. You have to twist the metal circle part. Then screw the circle into the wall. Then rotate the stopper back onto the round thing, kind of like a putting a key on keychain, but the opposite of how it was storing the screw. They are much better than the original ones I had.A diagram on the plastic baggy would be sufficient to demonstrate how to use.

The media could not be loaded.  All you need to do is put in one screw, don’t over tighten it into the wall though. Then screw the spring in and that’s all. I installed literally 5 in less than 10 minutes using a drill. This door stop is actually slightly springy so when the door bangs on it, it kind of hit bounces back just a little but not enough to hurt. 12 is more than enough for my house

These look good and flex as needed. I originally bought solid (non-spring) doorstoppers when we got new solid floors and new baseboard. The solid stoppers had an antique appearance and looked nicer than the spring type, but I worried they would end up ripping out of the baseboard if too much pressure was applied. I was constantly hitting them with the dust mop and my dog would frequently run into them when playing. I replaced the solid stoppers with these spring stoppers and now I hear their distinct sound when my dog runs into them (which is a lot more often than I realized).Though I liked the look of these less than the solid ones they replaced, I realized I don't spend much time looking at them.

These arrived today and I was so pleasantly happy to see the quality. They're absolutely perfect for anyone using a brown or brown family color in their home, in any room, as well as bronze, which I have much of. They're so much nicer than the old fashioned 1-2 color metal type. They really add a touch of class to what would otherwise be nothing more than a door stopper. A great value for the money, 8 in all, as flexible as the older styles and colors and the oil rubbed bronze color is very tasteful and exactly what I was looking for.

These were very easy to install with a Philips head screwdriver. I replaced all the rigid door stops my new home had previously installed. When we bought our home I thought, "Oh wow, these are rigid, they must be higher quality than the spring-like ones at our previous home." Within 6 months my toddler had ripped about 4 of them from the base trim, splitting base boards randomly throughout our home. I quickly realized the spring door stops are not designed for "absorbing impact" due to doors being opened too hard, but instead are springs so they do not rip from walls, baseboards, etc when they are inevitably stepped on. Perfect fix to a situation that was ruining trimwork throughout my home.

Needed to replace all the doorstoppers in my house because our cat took off all of the rubber ends. These did the job - they are sturdy and the rubber ends don't come off. Happy with the purchase.

They are more secure then the old ones I had. I replaced all my door hardware with oil rubbed bronzed & was happy to see they offered these also in oil rubbed bronze.
