Hot WheelsStar Wars Rogue One Starship Vehicle, Imperial Shuttle

A fantastic recreation of the in-universe Imperial Shuttle
Stuff about all of these Hot Wheels Starships :For those that are unfamiliar with this product line, most of the models are fairly detailed, well designed and faithful recreations of the Star Wars Vehicles and Starships. When I first saw this line, I didn't expect much, given they were being made by Hot Wheels, but much to my surprise they are great display models, which although looking like plastic, are 'mostly' die cast, and quite solid/heavy for their size. Some of the Vehicles have plastic parts as well and usually it's the legs/guns/wings etc. that are plastic. I personally like these as collector pieces more than 'toys' as they are definitely a big step up from the cheap hasbro line and in many cases, significantly better than the Black Series (but not for every ship).Another thing of note that isn't mentioned in many places, is that several (not all) of these ships/vehicles come in a couple of different 'Stand' types. There are versions which have a stand which doubles as a finger attachment to fly the ships around, while there are also the ones which have actual display stands (like this item). For kids wanting to play with these, the finger attachment is probably preferred, but for those buyers who want a display model, the version with the display stand is fantastic! The finger stand is far easier to knock over, and isn't as 'collector-like' in appearance. That said, this particular ship (I believe) may only come in the stand version so far at least.I think Hot Wheels has generally outdone themselves with most of these models, as they are awesome miniatures, but there are a few exceptions. Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle is a bit of a let down for example, as the fixed wings and ship feet are not as faithful to the in universe ship as they could be. Not bad, just not as nice as some of the others. This Actual product:Ok, I'll just get this right out there, this particular model, The Lambda / Imperial Shuttle is one of my absolute favourite ships in the Star Wars universe and this recreation has not let me down. The shapes, lines, colour, wing movement and Imperial plastic stand, make this one the best of the Star Wars Hot Wheels line. The AT-AT and SnowSpeeder are also right up there as well, however where those items have little obvious pose-ability options, this item allows for the wings to be posed either up in landing position or down in flight position... and it looks... fantastic! I believe the body of the ship is die-cast and the wings are plastic, but it does not hinder the model as far as looks go and there is no obvious colour differences between the materials. If you are buying this for a child, I would definitely take into account that this is very much a collector style model, in that it is fairly detailed, quite heavy for its size (the body of the ship is die cast), and has moving parts that could (I suspect) easily break off. I personally do not see this as a down side as I believe it is an amazing recreation of the in-universe model, but as a toy, it may not be as strong or sturdy as you would like. If you are a collector, or just love this ship, then enjoy, because it's a great version.

Fun toy, no longer on the market so its at a premium
My son is a big star wars fan and has several other ships as well, this was nice to add to his collection. He plays with them fairly regularly both with and without the stands. After about 8 months I am happy to say the ships and stands are still intact. This particular ship's wings are hinged with about 30 degrees of movement up and down, with this feature it's a popular choice for him to play with. I'm sure I paid a bit of a premium to get such a small item from Amazon but it wasn't significantly more than current toys in the series cost at a retail store.

Fits in a snow globe
This thing fit into a ... maybe 3.5 or 4 inch snow globe after I sawed the round bottom hunk off the stand and glued that stand stalk directly to the base of the snowglobe (without the little round flat piece) with some gorilla glue. Worked great for my home-made BB8 snowglobe project.

Very nice replica fighter. Well packaged
Purchased this item for a child, not strictly a collectible. It will be unboxed and used. That being said my item came with packaging fully intact and not damaged. It was as expected.

Poorly attached plastic tip really detracts from this intimidating ship of the Empire
The tip is made of plastic and not 1 solid piece. Gives it a slight wiggle and the more you look at it and notice it, the more bothers me. The Titanium edition was much better in this case as it was 1 solid piece and the same price (unlike their other ship models which tend to be pricier and yet smaller than these Hot wheels editions)

Way to go! They built a beatiful replica of the hunk of junk of the galaxy i love it
Hey, if you have the money buy it, it should be used for display only its very light dont let anybody touch it...

Over all, a very good model to play with.
One of the wings was a little bent sideways, near where the wing was attached. It might be because that the casing had a smaller room where the fighter was put in. But it doesn’t effect playing. Still a good product for this price, very fun to play with and display.

Don't buy if you're a collector
The package for this product is heavily damaged. Which is fine if you're planning to open it, I suppose. But I wasn't. Now it doesn't matter, I guess. Picture included, this is how it arrived fresh out of the box.

Great Item for a Model Base
Wanted this item to make a millennium falcon to hang from my rear view mirror in the car rather than be used as a toy and this was brilliant. A little bit of dry brushing and a hole drilled in the centre and it’s as near as possible (I think) to the film version!Only thing to bear in mind is that, as the pictures show, the version I received was the version from the original trilogy which, although perfect for me, if you wanted a Force Awakens onwards version with the new antenna you might want to contact the seller to be sure.

Good quality
Very detailed and has a nice weight to it, which suggests it’s good quality. Comes with its own little stand, as do the others in the range. More of a collectible than a toy really. My son has been collecting the other Star Wars vehicles in this set and the millennium falcon was the hardest to find so he is very pleased to finally get it. We couldn’t find this one in the shops.
