Flimsier than the Cooler Master Notepal X2 Notebook Cooler
I purchased this as a cheaper alternative replacement of my almost-one year old X2 model mentioned above and it's smaller and less bulky also. Well, it is cheaper for a reason. This little pad is flatter, but the fan is very close to the plastic casing and it's not a sturdy plastic. It cools fine, but the vent is directly underneath it, so it just vents to the desk.My real problem is I don't use my laptop computer as a desktop - I actually use it in bed and need a sturdy cooler that can be moved around as needed. This little pad isn't sufficiently rigid to keep it from touching the fan when I lift it up and move it. Or shift my legs, etc. or tip it in any angle from horizontal. Then the fan accidentally hits the housing for a second. I fear one of these days it'll break because of it.Incidentally, I really liked my first model, the X2. It was larger, more bulky and heavier, but it cooled great, looked pretty (you can tell it's on by the blue glow it emits) and it's a sturdy, heavier plastic. Vents to the back also and seemed to have more air flow. Both of these units are quiet and do keep my Toshiba Portege 13.3" cool while gaming. Unfortunately, the X2 lasted exactly 11.5 months and I'm trying to see what the company will do for me since it was just under their 1 year warranty...

Good fan, Watch out for the cord
I wanted a compact, portable fan to go with my Acer Chromebook. I read tons of reviews on Amazon for different products and, not wanting to spend a fortune, and not wanting one that was so giant that it diminished the portability of my netbook, I went with this one. I love the color (mine is green) and the fan does its job keeping my device from overheating, as well as keeping the heat off my lap. I love that its USB-powered: even though I leave it in constantly, it doesn't zap my netbook battery in one sitting.I did have a problem, though, with the cord. In the first few weeks of toting it around, the cord popped out more than it was supposed to, leaving part of the wires exposed near the cord port. I managed to stuff it back in and hold it in place with a tiny strip of duct tape. It might have been partially my fault for pulling it in and out of my bag without first wrapping the cord in the little cord-wrap-around compartment on the back, but it does seem to be a bit of a design flaw. The cord shouldn't be tug-out-able. If anything had happened to those wires before I could fix the issue, the whole fan would've been useless. But it works now, and I don't foresee any problems with it in the future, now that the cord is snug and secure.

Slim and light cooling pad works well
I purchased this for an older Dell D830 laptop that was just starting to overheat occasionally. Having used cooling pads before, I wanted to add one to the Dell in order to help extend it's life. I looked at several options before settling on the Cooler Master I100 for it's slim height and dimensions. I have the laptop on my side and stomach a lot and didn't want to add much bulk or weight. It turns out the dimensions are perfect for the Dell and I use rubber bands to hold the cooling pad to the laptop which works great. My only complaint is that the fan blows out the bottom instead of the back. My previous cooling pads have all vented out the back which was great, but this one vents out the bottom where it's sitting on something (usually me). It doesn't detract too much from how well it works, but I can feel the warm air a bit. I didn't notice this design before purchasing or I would have looked for something different. Still, the laptop no longer has heat problems, so I'll take this purchase as a "very good" win.

Cool & Quiet, but needs to be angled for best flow on flat surface
There's a lot to like about this cooling pad. It's slim, quiet and cools great. I have have a 14" Dell E6430 and it sits perfectly on this pad. It's slim enough to make it portable and easy to take w/ me in my laptop backpack. The color looks fantastic and the build quality is as expected for the price. Powered by a USB cable that has a USB port built in so it doesn't hog up a port on your laptop is standard on a lot of these pads. The fan is also very quiet. There are rear adjustable feet to give the pad a slight angle if that's your preference. The flaw that this pad has is that the air flow is not as good when it sits flat on top of a flat surface. The housing around the fan is near touching the surface it sits on thus reducing flow. When using the pad on my lap or w/ the adjustable feet out to angle the pad, it cools much better. Discovering this was a disappointment as I prefer to have my laptop sit flat. Despite that the goods outway this flaw so 3 stars NotePal l100! You are just OKAY!

Should have purchased much sooner
I don't know how I lived without this for so many years. It's so nice to have something to set your laptop on to cool it down instead of have it heat up your lap or your table. It also has a stowable USB that has a port built into it.The only thing that I wish was different is if there was a way to get the cord that comes off of the USB to go the other direction because it's hard to get all the cables aligned in their ports with its design. Maybe if the USB port tethered off of the cable more instead of going right into the laptop USB port. Also I have noticed that if I try to take it mobile, if I squeeze the pad too much, the fan will start to hit the grill and it doesn't sound very good. But for a workstation at my desk, it's great and I think my computer is happier because of it. Also, I do have to elevate my chair because it raises the computer about 1.5 in off the table.I have not tried to take it remotely - I got one for office and one for home rather than trying to lug around. I probably wouldn't lug it around if traveliing just because it is like the size of a laptop.

Sirve!

Portable light and works well for the cost
After determining what the cost range as they can range from a few bucks to well over hundred, this cooling pad works well for the cost. It is light and fits well in my computer bag. The fan is quiet and after 6months it is still running like new. Well worth the value. I would recommend this product.

Neat simple and functional
It does what it suppose to. The fan is big, but a bit noissy. The cord is long enough to get to any USB port on your computer, however It would be better for me if it is longer.I like the fact that it does not have extravant and futurist adorns.
