Bought these to try as waterproof motorcycling socks. These do what they say. They are, however, very warm. I would not wear these in the summer, only on very cold and wet days.

I have large feet to the point of having difficulty finding socks and also stronger calves and the kneehigh large works. I tried the crew height, but the knee height adds more insulation in the cold and ensures no water gets in if I step into a snow drift where the melty ice hits above the ankle. The material is like a breathable wetsuit. Water droplets cannot penetrate, but vapor can. Body heat just steams out any moisture there is inside. They also hold up well without daily laundering due to the moisture expulsion properties, so for work I can get away with three for a moderate winter.

I ordered these socks for tournament fishing tough conditions. Rain, rough water, warm or cold I have wore them a few times now and love them. I usually wear rubber boots on the boat but feet sweat and normal socks become damp and uncomfortable. These randy sun socks worked excellent for me. I could actually step out of my rubber boots and walk around on a wet boat floor and at the end of the day my feet were dry and not pruned, not cold or uncomfortable due to wet feet. I have two pair of the knee high socks and am definitely going to order some ankle high randy sun's for my outdoor adventures when not on the boat.
