Worth the price, especially if you have miles of ancient cooper pipes prone to springing leaks, seemingly always around 3am. Effortlessly removes older SharkBite fittings that won't budge for that little orange clip, no matter how much you cuss. Avoids struggling with the pesky one-size only removal tongs.

Make the job much easier than the clips. If you have water problems. You definitely need one. Shark bits are the best.

I realize these seem expensive, but if you are going to use SharkBite fitting very often they are the only way to go. Both the orange plastic "C" shaped release clips and the disconnect tongs shaped like large tweezers are very hard to use, especially in cramped quarters.

It is a great tool for getting pipes out of Sharkbite fittings. It is easier than the little horseshoe shaped tool so I thought it was worth the extra money. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that I there doesn’t seem to be a way to lock the tool in the compressed position so you can have two hands to pull the fitting apart.

I really love this tool! I use it on boats with different pex style type fittings. I’ve made shims to mount onto the anvils to make them tighter for different marine fittings. It helps so much to be able to pull fittings apart that are in the bilge of a boat or in spots that are to tight to get your hand in.

Works very well. Paid for itself in no time.
