This is a great camera for a specific use, it is not an action cam
I think this camera is fantastic as a method to document what is happening on a ride. I mount it on my helmet when I inline skate (fitness skating, long distances). I just want a record of what happened if a car does something stupid and hits me or if a dog attacks me, stuff like that. It is absolutely not an "action cam". It won't do image stabilization or any kind of noise cancellation with the mic. But that's fine. Here's what it does do:- It provides a clear enough view of your front and back to see what's going on. If you were in an incident, this camera would tell the accurate story.- It saves videos in MP4 format. I've read reviews of some action cams and many use a proprietary format you have to convert before you can do anything with them. You can simply plug the camera into your computer and pull a video off. Voila. You have your MP4.- It gives me enough battery life for a 2-hour ride. A lot of the fancy action cams won't give you that.- It seems to stay cool, not overheating. Probably because it isn't doing anything fancy with the video as it records. Here's the thing, it's not what I would call perfect. I wish it had better software and I wish it seemed like it was of better quality. I wish the company seemed more accessible from the US (where do you go to find the instructions if you lost them??). But I can't find anything else out there that does what this does. You can spend $500 for a 360 action camera that will have less battery time, will overheat, and will require processing time converting the video if you ever want it to share. If you want to document what's happening from the front and back with one camera, and you want 2+ hours of battery, there's little to nothing else out there that I've seen in 2022. I would like it if there were more product options in this space that offered more features and better quality at a slightly higher price, but that didn't force all the battery-killing features of a proper action cam. Maybe one day. Until then, this will do exactly what you want at a good price. For the record, I had no problem configuring the camera. I'm not sure what reviews stating those problems dealt with. It all seemed pretty clear and worked straightaway for me. You connect to its wifi with your phone, open the app, and configure your settings. I am on a Pixel 5a. Here's the thing, once you configure it, you don't have to connect to it again. I just plug it in to USB to charge and to maybe transfer files off if I want to save something. Don't be dissuaded by fears of config or a low-quality app. You really don't have to touch it after your initial config. And heck, if you want default settings, you don't ever have to touch those things. It's a rugged-enough metal tube. So it seems sturdy, but I do believe some people have experienced varying levels of quality. It doesn't feel premium, but it doesn't feel cheaply made either. Just, it feels like it could be better still.I don't even know where my remote is now. I can't be holding a remote in my hand the entire time I'm riding. So I'm not concerned that the remote doesn't start/stop video. I didn't buy this camera for that.I've had this for 9 months now and have used it regularly during this time.

Good double-helmet cam w/ app for controlling recording & pictures, viewing files & status.
The media could not be loaded. This camera is effectively a pretty good double-sided helmet camera. It has no image stabilization or noise filtering, so the videos during rides are bouncy and LOUD with wind roar. (If I could find where the mic is, I might try to make a wind screen out of a sponge or piece of foam for it.) Considering many helmet cameras are ~ $50, this double-sided unit is not a bad price, especially since the app will not only show you both images from the camera, with ~ 1 - 5 second delay, but it will also tell you the battery status and let you pause or resume recording or take a picture of what you're looking at as well as set up some options like the quality length of recordings.I recommend setting it to go with 10 minute recordings, as long as possible, to reduce the number of files you're sifting through to find a recording and avoid delays caused by many files in the file system of 128 MB micro-SD cards. Unfortunately, that turned out to be too large for this review, so I'm providing a sample 1-minute video of 3M resolution from when I encountered turkeys on a ride. The app also offered VGA, 5M, 8M, 10M, and 12M. Just expect more lag and blurring at higher resolutions, to say nothing of large files eating up your SD card faster. As the picture of my bike helmet shows, I chose to mount the camera backwards, because that's the way that it worked best with my helmet light. Both cameras seem to be of the same quality, and they record the simultaneous videos to a separate files with similar names, like 20220723201414_000021A.MP4 & 20220723201415_000022B.MP4. I'm also providing some screen shots of the Looking camera app to show the kinds of capabilities it offers. I hope these prove helpful to folks.

Didn't last 5 months of normal use.
Seemed to work good for my daily bicycle commute of about 30 minutes each way, but it was never easy to charge. Today (less than 5 months of use) when I returned from work, the charging port broke inside the camera. I will never buy again, and recommend others to stay away. 0 stars.

It's alright
It works, but the battery life is poop (2-3 hrs), the video is alright, the mic is terrible. This is definitely a dashcam quality item, as in, not an action cam like a gopro I'm debating whether or not to return it because that's quite a bit of money for something so sub par.Little update:I really like the app that it pairs with. The loop feature is very cool. Everything works fine and this is one of the few cameras that has a rear view on Amazon as well.I strapped an external battery (5000mah) onto my helmet to fix the battery problem. Not very glamorous, but it does the job.

Great for what it is.
First if you are looking for an action cam stop and look somewhere else. This is a dash cam. The sound quality is horrible because of wind, the picture is good but not great, and the battery life is ok ( charging every other day with a little over 1hr daily usage). So why the 5 stars? 2 reasons. First, it seems that the visibility of the camera (on top of my helmet) makes other drivers "behave" better. Second, this thing can take a beating. It's fallen with my helmet a few times and has been working with no issues. It fell hard enough one time that it separated from the helmet. Anyone who has used the double sided 3M adhesive knows how difficult it can be to remove things when attached with the 3M. So, overall I think it's definitely a good purchase. If you ever need the video due to an accident or something this will work great.
