what size in diameter is the pole that hold the plate weights?

You can put round plates for leg lifts. I believe it is the standard size but I believe there is a weight limitation.

Does it have the arms (preacher) curl?

Yes, has preacher curl and has an adjustable height but only two settings. With three adjustable curl angles.

What is the height of the bench in the flat position? Thank you

Think about as high as a bed with box spring on a normal bed frame
