I put this in my chipper, It fired right up and ran very well.Very easy to install. I measure the gear and oil shaft. It was right on the money.

I had some reservations initially when checking out this distributor on the Amazon website. For one thing, the vendors description lists the engine, but then follows it up with V6 despite that I went ahead and ordered it and lo and behold. It ain’t fitting. I posted some pictures the first one is my old distributor next to this new one and the second picture is how far and I can get it to go with the oil pump rod, but in any event, the rod doesn’t engage with the oil pump and spins freely and I can’t sink The distributor down into its final resting position. Also, the fit is so tight that there has to be something wrong with quality control with the vendors identification of the engine Application. In any event, it was very disappointing. I’m grateful for Amazon‘s policy returns and prompt refunds nonetheless.

I liked the ease of installation

Took less than two hours and I had other parts going in also. No adjustments needed on an 85 f150. Only thing I needed was a spade terminal to hook up the power wire.
