Dad loves it!
Bought this for father's day. His chuckles from the "other" room are very telling. I may have to steal it back so I can read it too!

Interesting.
When I read the blurb, I didn't hesitate to purchase this book. I anticipated a book filled with laughter but I may have to fault my undeveloped sense of humor since I was disappointed in this regard. The cases outlined are odd, some even outlandish and admittedly some really elicited much laughter.I had to refer the episode about "Cat Combat" to my friend who owns eighteen cats. She was so elated.Others I liked are " The world's most super computer chef"The real story of the sinking of the Bismark""The great lavatory pilgrimage.""The people afraid of words" was eye-opening.I commend the author for the extent of the research that must have gone into this book. It provides some odd facts which would otherwise be unheard of. For this, I give him full marks.Overall, my rating would be 3.5 stars but I did get some laughter, and to be fair to the author, considering my undeveloped sense of humor, I will upgrade to 4.

Strange but interesting
Note to the author.Mr Douglas:I enjoyed your book immensely and give you credit for uncovering small but very strange twists of history that leave us wondering ...what were they thinking?.I have one request however. Knowing your proclivity for humour this may be difficult for you to obtain but in the future .....please.... I beg of you!! Stop with the stupid puns at the end of each story! They actually diminished the enjoyment ( at least for me) of the book. One or two, alright, I get that, but not every one!Otherwise ...very entertaining and eye opening.

Forced puns and self served cuteness
Not nearly as good as the other book by this author. Some of the tales are covered in both books with very different viewpoints. The forced puns are exacerbated by the typos such as Einstein continuing down the aisle as he also searches under his seat. Read the other book and ignore this one.

It was an interesting and well written book with stories I haven't read in other trivia books. It was fun to read.

Meh
I didn’t like it. It wasn’t all that crazy and I didn’t feel like discussing the stories with anyone after I read them. Maybe my expectations were too high. You might like it.

Fun stuff!
Not as meaty as it could have been, but definitely a fun read. Good travel or while-you-wait read at mechanic shop or medical office

Very informative and amusing
I wasn't expecting the book to be as engaging! There's over 3 hours of reading about factual historical events that will make you giggle uncontrollably. It covers human history of the most bizarre stories. Very entertaining book. Worth the read.
