Lightweight Stylish & Accurate
After owning this watch for over 9 months, I can confidently say that it is a well constructed and very accurate time-piece. The band is comfortable for all-day wear, and the double latch clasp has always stayed secure during everyday work and casual use. Titanium construction was one of the most important features I searched for when I purchased this watch. I learned years ago that titanium watches are half the weight of similar stainless steel models, and have very good durability and comfort. This watch fits that criteria, along with a stylish dark-blue face design that works well for everyday and dress wear. The only difficulty I had initially, was removing a couple of links from the band for fit. It certainly helps to have a watchband pin remover tool, which can be purchased from Amazon for less than 5 dollars. Having this device can eliminate a lot of frustration, and/or a trip to a local jeweler for band adjustments. I can certainly recommend this watch to anyone looking for a stylish, lightweight watch, with quality and accuracy that is comparable to watches in a much more expensive category.

At a fraction of what you'd pay for an Omega, this has 99.5% of one
Updated review dater several months:(1) Time-keeping excellent, just a few seconds off per month.(2) It's hard to go wrong with Seiko, their quality control is superb.(3) In this price range, it is a well-built, precision instrument.(4) The 37 mm diameter, 8 mm thick size is perfect.(5) Titanium is not only tough but light, you hardly know you're wearing it.(6) The face has nice contrast, conveys wanted info at a glance.(7) Quartz movement is worry-free, just change the battery once a year.

Smaller case diameter than many current offerings.
I agree with other reviewers that the face on this might as well be black. In high light/sun conditions I can see some blue but beyond that this watch is very attractive and can easily be worn for dress occasions as well as casual. I was replacing a similar Seiko that did have a blue dial face but after many years and several battery replacements the crystal was frequently foggy so I found this. It has just enough protection near the crown that you won't catch it on your pant pocket when reaching in for your keys or a wallet, that was a requirement for me. So far it is keeping great time, I like having the day as well as the date also. I'd buy this again. One other major issue in choosing this watch, it is much smaller than so many of the newer models that are 40-42MM case diameters if not more. I don't want anything that big on my wrist.

Love this watch! But BEWARE the dial does not look blue as in the photos!
Only Con: The Dial is such a dark blue color that you can only see the blueness if you tilt the watch in a certain angle in a certain light. Otherwise, the dial looks black. I bought the blue dial version because I already has a Tag Aquaracer and Rolex in black dial and I wanted a watch with Blue dial. I was so disappointed with the dial color when I received the watch from Amazon, but I am not the type who returns something on Amazon. Now, I am glad I kept the watch.Pro: This is a great watch. It is extremely light weight. I had this watch for 6 months now, and it is my daily work watch. Not a scratch on the watch (band nor dial). I love the Day Date feature on this watch. Not too many watches that I was interested has the Day Date feature, unless you want to pay over 10K for them. Subsequently after this purchase, I bought an Omega Seamaster James Bond watch with the blue dial because I wanted a watch with true blue dial. The Omega Seamaster is much more sportier looking, but it is HEAVY and big, and does not go underneath my dress shirt sleeve. I wear this Seiko as my daily M-F work watch, and I wear the Omega on the weekend. I would give this watch a 5 Star rating except the Blue dial is not really blue. If you like the traditional black dial, then you will like the black dial version of this watch.

Elegant quality watch
This is an elegant watch with a very secure, easy-to-use clasp. When I took it to our local watchmaker and asked him to remove several links from the band so that it would fit my wrist, he commented on its quality and cautioned me against having its battery replaced by careless shopkeepers. "You want to ensure they don't touch the battery with their bare fingers and that they preserve the watertight seal." He then demonstrated how I can change the time without disturbing the date, and how to change the date. So simple! (The enclosed instructions had been totally confusing to me.) Although he had not sold me the watch (I bought it on Amazon) he charged me only $10 for the fit adjustment and clear instructions. I am waiting to see how durable the sapphire crystal turns out to be.THREE MONTHS LATER, and the crystal appears just as clear and unblemished as the first day I wore the watch. VERY accurate. Many decades ago I owned a Rolex Explorer which amazed my fellow flight navigators because it would gain or lose no more than two seconds in a month (depending upon temperature exposure). This Seiko appears to equal that.

Sapphire crystal ! Light, thin and better diameter Seiko
Bought in October 2019. No shipping information for quite a while. I sent a question to the seller about the crystal (see below), but they didn't respond. Then it came, apparently shipped from Singapore where they do, mostly, speak English. I have been wearing it for 3 months and am pleased with it. It came with Seiko documentation, warranty card and box. It is lightweight, thin and the smaller diameter fits my relatively small left arm well and keeps good time. I have worn it swimming a few times, in the shower, etc. and no problems. The buckle will scratch a little as but the watch band less so and the crystal remains perfect. It is apparently a sapphire crystal that is very desirable and as shown in the listing photos but is listed in the specifications as a less desirable hardlex crystal. I have had several Seiko SG507 blue dial watches of the same diameter but thicker than this one and have been pleased with them, although the crystal does scratch easily on that one. This could be a real good watch, time will tell. I give it 5 stars despite the lack of communication.

Beautifully made, very light.
Wonderful watch.I went for the blue-face version (Amazon US import - had to wait a week or so, but did save myself over fifty quid, and the blue is beautiful.Love the titanium case and bracelet - no allergy issues, and both lighter and stronger than steel.

4 months after purchase, loses time
Bought this for Valentine's Day for my partner. Handsome watch, light weight and wears well. Here we are in June and it's losing time. Hard to find recourse to repair. I'm sure it has a warranty, but what a hassle for something that should last year's.
