Mixed feeling
Overall I like this product because of the esthetic packaging, natural ingredient (100% rosemary extract) and very pleasing scent. But it didn't see much difference on my skin since adding this product to my skincare routine.

Another great product from Aromatica. Cruelty-free, too!
I have become quite a big fan of Aromatica over the last few years. I love the brand and the products, and several are mainstays in my skincare routine. This rosemary essence is something I use often, if not every day. It goes on feeling soft, which is weird to say about a liquid, but it does, and it leaves my skin VERY hydrated and soothed. It does leave a bit of a sheen, but I don't mind that, especially since I generally have to blot or powder my oily skin anyway. The rosemary scent is light and...I don't know...comforting? I like it, but I'm not sure I've ever smelled it in a skincare product before. Package information says that rosemary is the sole ingredient, but that's obviously not accurate (there's a liquid suspension, if nothing else). Aromatica creates plant-based products that are natural, sustainable, vegan, and 100% cruelty-free! Both the glass bottle and the cardboard box this product comes in are made from recycled materials, and they are, of course, recyclable themselves. Just another reason I love Aromatica! This is a great product, and I am happy to recommend it.

Satisfying & Soothing
Let me get the bad out of the way first. This arrived in its own box with a broken cap. The cap was completely busted and most of it was roaming around in the bottom of the box. Fortunately, it comes with one of those little plastic seals that plug up the small hole in the top. It's replaceable after removal which I'm thankful about because this is now the only top that I have to keep this sealed closed. That small seal is secure enough that there was no spillage at all. It's just a bit tricky removing and plugging back up between uses, though not all that difficult. As far as a skincare product, this feels very nourishing on the skin. It provides a thin coating of a liquid that helps to give you a thin barrier throughout your day. Somewhat like a toner, but it's more a liquid that provides nourishment for the skin instead of helping to keep the pores clean. This will work well in conjunction with a toner. I'd use the toner first and then this essence. Helps to soften skin and brighten it up a bit.Good for all skin types. Seems clean and natural and should be safe for most with sensitive skin.

Very refreshing and soothing
Rosemary has been studied as an antioxidant for decades now, and the peer-reviewed papers substantiate that it is quite effective. What I am not sure about is how antioxidants are useful for your skin. That said, this is a very pleasant product to apply to your face after a shower and, in my case, a shave. It is not oily or greasy but leaves your skin soft and feeling hydrated. The aroma is a very natural rosemary smell. Since I only need a few drops (this bottle should last quite a long time) the fragrance is very slight and pleasant. While they state that the only ingredient is rosemary extract, that is incorrect. Rosemary may be the only active ingredient, but it is carried in a solution of dipropylene glycol, glycerin, 1,2-hexanediol, and ethylhexylglycerin. These aren’t bad things, they appear in many “natural” cosmetics, but it is incorrect to label rosemary as the only ingredient.I enjoy using this, it makes my face feel good and smell good, and who knows what benefits I may really gain from using it. As long as it makes me feel good, I’m happy with it, but I can see some moisturizing effect after just a couple of uses.Review of: AROMATICA Vitalizing Rosemary Concentrated Essence

Results may vary but a nice product
I really like this essence as part of a multi-step skincare routine... or if I am in a hurry and my skin is irritated a nice little treat to use by itself. It's not going to be the super-rich immediate hydration fix you'd get from a good cream or serum but it is calming and has immediate anti-inflammatory effects. In other words when my skin is angry it calms it right down and is soothing. It is very watery and absorbs quickly. If you like rosemary but products containing the oil vs the extract irritate your skin, the extract is an excellent compromise. It is extremely mild and gentle. Rosemary essential oil is excellent for therapeutic /topical use but it can really irritate some conditions. This product basically just the extract as the main ingredient with preservatives and stabilizing ingredients. Glycerin is moisturizing and helps enhance the performance and absorption of the extract.INGREDIENTS: Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin

Not as expected
I really wanted a good toner with a wonderful rosemary aroma. This does not meet my expectations. While this has an interesting aroma, I wouldn't really say it's a good rosemary scent. The toner leaves a stickiness to my skin that I really don't like. It does really moisturize my face well.

Great brand, didn't expect it to remind me of Thanksgiving
So since this is a concentrated essence of rosemary, which I am not aware of having any magical amazing properties, I honestly didn't expect much out of this essence other than a nice scent that would add to my self-care routine. Scent is really powerful in that way and I don't care for actual fragrance in my skincare, but something that comes from a real plant is much more desirable in that regard. It DOES smell quite strongly of rosemary which is great, but since I am American, it absolutely reminds me of Thanksgiving dinner and roast turkey. Not quite the calm and soothing self care step I had thought it would be.It is very watery in texture. There is some settling on the bottom of the bottle so you should shake it before you use it (even though I didn't see any direction that said to do that). It comes in classic Aromatica packaging and looks gorgeous on my bathroom counter.
