I've been using this product for years. I recently bought this from Beautopia LLC on Amazon. When I opened it up, it was watered down and had a horrible smell to it (which leads me to believe the product grew bacteria in it from whatever they used to water it down with). The normal consistency is a thick like paste. I reordered a second tube: same thing. Both will be returned for a refund. These people have no business selling bad (possibly hazardous) products to consumers.

I've ordered Brocato Swell from Beautopia previously, and received the real thing. This time I received a tube full of a thin, runny, foul-smelling liquid, not at all like the real Swell product. I tried to return it, and found that it isn't eligible for a refund or replacement. I will not be ordering from Beautopia again; I've just wasted ten dollars.SUBSEQUENT EXPERIENCE:I have changed my rating from one to five stars, after chatting with an Amazon employee. She did end up getting me a replacement tube of this product that was in perfect condition. The real Swell Fat Hair cream is an excellent volumizer for those with thin, fine hair like mine. I'm so glad that Beautopia, the vendor, does have access to the genuine Brocato Swell, which I love.

I had used Brocato's TEXTURE CREME for years and love, love, loved it. Then - much to my dismay - it was apparently discontinued, and I have not been able to find any hair product to replace it. So, when I saw that Brocato now has this product (Swell Volume Hair Cream), I ordered it in the hopes that this would work for me. Unfortunately, I can't tell you how much I HATE THIS PRODUCT. It made my hair feel chalky and lackluster. Instead of making my hair look thicker, it made it lay flat. Awful stuff. I washed it out as soon as I had the opportunity.

This feels as though it doubles the volume of my hair. There is no greasy or heavy feel. I will continue to purchase it as long as it's available. UPDATE: About every third tube of this product has been watered down. If this doesn't stop I will be looking for another product. I see others have mentioned this also.

It works. I’ve tried many products, some much more expensive, but this one works. I have lots of hair with NO body, and I am pleased this works.UPDATE: When I purchased this on Dec. 27, 2019, the cost was $9.20. The price has almost doubled in less than 8 months. Why the dramatic increase? Although it is a very good product, I would not purchase it today.
