Trail Tech 742-A00 TTO Tach Hour Digital Gauge Meter Motorcycle Tachometer

This unit works well and appears to be pretty accurate. Install was very easy and it s powered by an internal replaceable battery. It is small enough to mount anywhere but big enough to read easily. It works really well on my Honda Ruckus. Update 11-20-23: These tachs are basic but GREAT. I ran the one on my Honda Ruckus for years until I sold the bike and it was still working good. I now own a Honda PCX 150. I tried the cheaper ones (two of them) but they were junk. I remembered having this on my Ruckus and how durable, accurate, and reliable it was so I ordered one for the PCX 150. It works great on it too! It is very water resistant as I've gotten caught in the rain a few times but like a Timex watch, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking (Or taching rather)! It doesn't have a backlight but I don't care about that as I don't ride much at night and the LCD display is clearly visible during the day , even when it's cloudy. It costs a little more than the cheap ones but it is worth every penny if you want an accurate, durable tach that fits in tight spaces and is built for the long haul.

Works ok, not fast to respond, but good for cruising RPM's. Easy as can be to install! Stays on all the time. And its not backlit like the listing said it was.

Works great for inexpensive tach on my 1930 Model A Ford. Since the tach is LCD and not backlit, polarized sunglasses causes #s on display to disappear. Wrapped lead around the coil high tension wire, did not use as many wraps around the coil wire as instructed, signal was too strong since being on the high voltage coil output. Also had to program to a Pulses per Revolution setting other than what the instructions indicated to use. Once installed, programmed, has been working for about a year.

Really stupid it's not been updated to use a CR2032 or such. Disposable tachometer? WTF? I knew that going into it, and it works perfectly as intended. Didn't want any other functionality or form factor....

I purchased this after buying and installing a cheap Amazon knock off. The knock off failed within a few hours which was super disappointing. As such, i removed it and returned it. I then decided to try something which costs a little more. This devices works great. I only wish it had a temp function as well.

I've been buying these for years, many years. They are simple to install and fairly accurate, enough for my needs. However the price for this simple gadget has nearly doubled in price and has approached the gouging stage.

Inexpensive and quality. This shuts off automatically and last longer than the run leader. I’ve owned several of these and prefer them.

I wanted this for a paramotor and had it shipped to remote location. I actually ordered 2 units - just in case one had a problem. One unit was dead on arrival - probably a dead battery which is not replaceable. The second unit appeared to work in a pre-installation test but after installation it stopped reading rpm. I guess that it is possible that the wire may have damaged during installation of the second unit. However, when removing this dead unit, I cut the wire and positively checked that it still had good continuity... refund requires return of unit - which from the remote location is not possible...

Love the small size. Has hours, rpm, clock and it's small and it's black! I have the previous hours version from trail tech and I'm a fan. Can't wait to install on my next bike.
