This is my 6th blanket from this brand...and for good reason. They are amazing. Start with the one blanket, add a coverlet if you're extra cold...but once you warm up, be prepared to kick off the coverlet! As wool keeps a sheep warm, by perfectly regulating it's body temperature, it does the same for you. I have never needed to add blankets after I have gotten warmed up. They wash well...just air dry, then I throw it in the dryer on the lowest temperature setting with some dryer balls to fluff it up. Use a stiff, metal brush to GENTLY to break up the fibers and return it to softness. Since you shouldn't need to wash it often, the little extra care is worth it. Sadly, since I now have 6, I probably won't need anymore...but this plaid was gorgeous, and I couldn't resist it...we use it to cuddle on the couch...my sheepdog LOVES it...go figure.

Well… I wanted a wool blanket without spending a fortune on one. I needed the temperature regulating aspects of one. I washed the blanket with a wool detergent and let it line dry. The blanket is huge for a twin application and fits a queen best. We actually have it on our king bed. The blanket sheds excessively and we have dark fuzzies all over the bedroom. It is also rough on the skin and not what anyone would consider a snuggler. Does it work for temperature regulation? Yes. But It comes at a cost.Update:I wanted to love this blanket but over time it has pilled badly and sheds excessively. I have dust bunnies from it all over the place and it is just on the bed. It is hard. It is scratchy. Think this is going in a tote only to be taken out for a zombie apocalypse.

Perfectly warm and light weight

We ordered this blanket after the reviews about how soft it is. Yes - we know it is 100% wool, but it is actually still pretty rough - compared to 100% wool coats and sweaters we own. If you are using it as a top layer it is fine, but don't plan on sitting on it or cuddling under it directly.Unfortunately this blanket won't get much use at our house.

Great blanket. Very large and of really high quality. Excellent price point for something as high quality as it is. I’m normally cautious of ordering something with so few reviews but I may be ordering a second one of these.
