Super warm and beautiful lap blanket made for wheelchair users
I love this faux leopard-print lap blanket lined and edged with fleece. Not only is it very warm, it's also pretty and fun. It's designed for wheelchair users but could be used equally as a lap blanket for someone with a favorite armchair or recliner. There is one nice big pocket across the front to accommodate both hands. 3 sets of Velcro tabs on each side are designed to attach the blanket to the wheelchair arms, the frame near the knee, and then behind the feet, to give a nice snug fit with no dragging fabric. It's very ample in size, so I tuck the rest of the fabric between my limbs and the seat. I docked 1 star because the Velcro tabs are backwards in my opinion: they fasten toward the center, requiring one to see underneath the blanket to fasten them, instead of fastening toward the edges. The maker might want to reconsider that. Otherwise, a great product!

A Comfy Lap-rug for the Wheelchair
On a cold, windy day, wheeling out to the mailbox can be chilling event even before you find all the bills. This lap-rug is soft, warm, and wide enough to wrap around behind your legs while you're waiting for the mail carrier to come by in his (warm and heated) truck. This features velcro straps and connection spots that attach the blanket to the wheelchair and secure it around your legs, but I couldn't figure out how to use them--and it doesn't matter, anyway, because this is long and broad enough that I don't have any trouble snuggling it around and under me. This was a whoopee find for me, because the other cotton and crocheted lap-rugs I've tried don't quite do it in the cold.

Love it in the rain and the snow.
I love the feel of this blanket. I bought it for myself. I'm an active person and in an electric wheelchair. I was tired of having my lap soaking wet after shoveling snow or just going to the car in the rain. While this is not waterproof it sure is resistant to the water. I can shovel for 30 minutes without stopping and the blanket still stays warm and my lap is dry. (I can only handle shoveling for that long).I like the handle so I can keep my cell phone and keys in it while shoveling so if I get stuck I can quickly call for help or receive calls. There are velcro straps on the blanket I assume to help it stay on but I could not figure out how to use it. Even without that if you tuck it under you evenly on both sides it stays put and is extremely comfortable.Another plus is that it looks comfortable so your younger kids want to feel it and you get more family time. Lol

Mom loves it
This is so warm and soft, and easily fastens with Velcro behind the legs so there isn't any drafts. I used to use a throw blanket when I took Mom out in her wheelchair, but it would shift and catch in the wheels and was very difficult to wrap around the back of her legs. This takes care of all those problems.

Minky soft. Thick and warm.
4 star only because the tab of hook and loop behind the knees is small and pops apart too easily.

Soft and warm wheelchair blanket that stays on and doesn't get caught in wheels
My 90 year old mother-in-law requires around-the-clock care by nursing staff. Blind and non-ambulatory, she likes to spend a good portion of her day in a wheelchair so that she can be moved around and be a part of whatever activities are going on. Her nurse recently mentioned to me that she was becoming insistent on having "something on her" -- not just for warmth but for the reassuring comfort that the weight of a shawl or blanket will offer. But since blankets can easily slip off (and she's unable to see to prevent it), not to mention that a slipping blanket can get caught in the wheels, I ordered this heavyweight blanket that's specifically designed for wheelchairs. There are four long velcro tabs that allow you to fasten the edges of the blanket to the frame of her wheelchair. So, no more slipping!I was pleased with how soft it is and, while warm, it isn't TOO heavy. The 36"x42" blanket is a rich dark blue, short-napped plush (sort of like velour) on one side and a pale grey longer plush on the other (and edged in the grey plush). The blue side has a large kangaroo pocket (muff-style like on hoodies) for keeping a handkerchief, cell phone, or just to keep hands warm. The blanket is 100% polyester. The recommended laundering instructions are to wash in cold water and tumble dry on low.

Super warm and cozy! The velcro attachment straps are wonderful. Nice enough to gift.
I got this for my elderly mom who just started to use a wheelchair. Her legs would get cold, and her hands. Blankets across her lap work just okay - this awesome wheelchair blanket works perfectly!! It's so warm and soft. The velcro straps are perfect - the hold the blanket in place at the sides of the chair, so it stays up over her waist. The best part is the velcro attachments that keep the blanket tucked around her legs - so warm and comfortable. The pockets are a huge plus! She keeps tissues in there, and since her hands tend to get cold she really appreciates tucking her hands into the cozy pockets. This wheelchair blanket is perfect - definitely recommend!

Fluffy and thick
Is of very good quality. Bought for 93yr old mum who occasionally needs to use the wheelchair when going out and I wanted something smaller than a travel rug. I also wanted a smaller lap rug for her when she watches TV as normal rugs are too long and she gets tangled up in them when trying to get up, this size lap rug is ideal for her. Very happy.

Not that good for a big wheelchair
Very warm only wish it was wide enough. It’s good for a skinny person on a small wheelchair but on My big power chair it’s not wide enough so it keeps on slipping as I can’t use the straps.

stitches at the side of the pocket loosen up just after one wash
It keeps my mom warm while she is in her wheelchair. However, the stitches at the side of the pocket loosen up just after one wash. Needs repair.
