This is way too large for applying face makeup, I literally could not properly see what I was doing for the size of it in my hand. In fairness, it states that it is "bigger", but even so, it would be better suited to body make up. It is also very firm, which not only feels unpleasant in use, but doesn't do an adequate job of blending. I unfortunately got a bit over enthusiastic whilst wringing out the water and did actually wring it- it snapped neatly in half. My fault, certainly, but I lost patience and threw it away.You know how it is, you see an item at a good price and think what value you're getting (and sometimes you do) but not in this case, it was 5 pounds wasted,I'm afraid.I cant recommend it, unfortunately.
