Great fit, great performance, one minor annoyance
XXL was perfect for 230lbs/6ft tall with a big belly/chest. I've never had a 4/3, but have decades of experience using thiner wetsuits and neoprene gear for different activities. Most of my stuff is around 2mm. It's crazy how warm 4mm is - I used this suit in 50-55F water and I couldn't even tell I was in the water. Only flaw with the product is the neck velcro easily gets stuck inside the suit and is very difficult to get un-stuck once the suit is on. I know what you're thinking: "they all do that." Not like this; the velcro absolutely welds itself deep inside your shoulder, even if you try to be careful about not dragging the flap in. This annoyance is worth it for the price; still a great value. No fault of the product, but the suit was sent in a box that was literally 6ft long, 3 inches deep, and around 30 inches across. This is obviously absurd, and might be a consideration depending on where you are sending the suit. Also, the suit had clearly been tried on and returned, which is a little gross, but fine with me.

good. construction and mayerial
I rated five stars because the construction of the suit and the materials seem top notch. I’ve only used it about a half a dozen times and it still looks good as New, despite the fact that it fits like a glove so taking it off is even harder than putting it on

Perfect Wetsuit Fits Just About Great - Would buy again
Wearing this thing in Southern California and the 4/3 is perfect (preferred over the 3/2 that I recently returned). I am 6'2 and 190lbs, I workout and have a good shape. The Medium fit me perfectly. The Large-Tall was too beefy, the Medium-Tall was just a tad long in the arms and crotch. The Medium fit the bill. The only negative part of the wetsuit is the neck-fitting. It fits a little tight around the neck, I can still breathe, but still a little tight nonetheless. Doesn't affect me in the water though and I know the neck will eventually stretch. Wait to buy this thing when its around $190 and not the $270 prices. All around great buy

Warm suit. Doesn't let cold water flush through the zipper !
I'm 5'11" 205lbs kinda stocky. I've sometimes have to wear a XXL because of my shoulders & chest but then those suits are loose in the legs on me. This fit me perfect ! I was concerned that it doesn't have a bat wing under the zipper & usually this means cold water runs down my back " But that's not the case with this suit" zipper holds out the water really good! It's got fleece inside which keeps you warm in cold water. Great suit for the $ also they packaged it nice & it didn't come all wrinkled. I've had new suits come wrinkled from other suppliers as they put the suit in a huge box & it just flopped around during shipping.

Affordable and durable!
The sizing chart is perfect for this product. I bought mine so that I could train in the cold spring water in Northern Ohio. I get bored swimming laps in a pool, so I like to get out in the lakes for some open water swimming and it keeps me warm in 60 degree water. The fit of the wetsuit is very good. Many times you will not have enough space in the arm pits with a modestly-prices suit, but this suit fits perfectly. Plenty of room around the arm pits to get a full stroke and not fatigue the shoulders. Another reviewer mentioned that there is some space in the small of your back with this suit. This happened to me as well, there is a small space in the small of my back, but I don't think this is preventable and it does not really hurt the suits performance. I have broad shoulders and I think this contributes to the fit in the small of the back. Either way, everything about this suit is great, and it is priced fairly.

Lifeguard approved
Bought for my 150lb, 6’3ft son. Fit worked great for him. He is a lifeguard and has been using it for his training. He said it’s very comfortable and easy to get on and off.

I like the back zip and leg key pocket.
I've worn 2-3 other wetsuits for surfing. I hate chest zip maybe because my last wetsuit was undersized and it would take a century to get in or out of the suit. It's so much easier for me to get in and out of this suit quickly. I don't think I sacrificed much warmth if at all? It's so nice that the key pocket is in the leg instead of inside the back of the wetsuit (I would have to unzip my back and roll down the upper half with my previous suit to get to my key). This 4/3 is plenty warm for Washington state summer surfing with some booties. Can't wait to use this in NorCal and see how it stands up to fall and winter surfing (I'm ready with gloves and a hood). I so far is durable enough. I will update if I run into durability/quality issues.

Fit & Usage
Fit is true to size chart. I'm 6'3" 210 and suit fits very well. Bout this about 3-4 weeks ago. I have used this suit at least 15x now for work in temps ranging from 68° - 76° for multiple hours each time with no complaints. Warm with very little flushing. Zipper area you'll get some coolness from water intake but nothing your body won't be able to warm up very quickly. Temperature range I'd feel comfortable using this is from 65°- 78°. Lower than that you'll be chilly and need a long sleeve under armor style shirt, and higher you'll be too warm and need to constantly flush to be able to cool down. I do always wear a seperate CRESSI 3mm hood so keep that in mind. Seams are holding well, cuffs/ gaskets are tight but not uncomfortable. Good deal for a fairly priced wetsuit for general purposes and scuba. Spearfishing and freedivers save up and get a custom high-quality smoothskin (freediving) or open cell (spearfishing) both two pieces with built in hood. This suit is best used for watersports. I tend to get cold very easily so this wetsuit was a very pleasant suprise for being a 4/3. Perfect for any winter water temps in FL and any freshwater springs.

Excellent
If you're looking for a good tall/slim fit wetsuit, this one's for you. In the past simply depending on hieght and weight for a well fitting suit doesn't work. I'm 6' tall and average 150 lbs depending on what I've eaten that day, (seriously it fluctuates that much) with a 31.5" waistline and I bought the Medium/Tall and couldn't be happier. The material is far more flexible than my other suit so getting a snug fit is way easier. Just an Fyi, the velcro for around the neck seal is VERY strong and unles you put it over the opposite velcro strip when putting your suit away, ie in your dive bag etc, it will stick to the neoprene material and start to fray it over time. You won't find a better suit for less money, so just buy it already.

Great wetsuit
Haven't worn a wetsuit for years, and the last one I bought in person. So to order online made me wonder how it'd fit given the sizing shown online. I"m 6'2" tall, and a 40" chest, but long arms. I picked the size with "large tall". It fit perfect when I got it. The great feature about the suit is the harder neoprene protection on the knees, as evident when I went windsurfing. The processing of climbing on to the board will wear at the knees, and the neoprene pads added grip for stability when standing up. Priced affordably compared to other brands.

Great wetsuit for the price!
Review of O'Neill Wetsuits Mens 4/3 mm Epic Full Suit. Great wetsuit for the price. Sizing was spot on for me: 6'1, 190lbs = large The 4/3 was enough to keep me nice and warm in late May in Atlantic Canada. Air temp around 15C and water around 8-12C. Felt like I was swimming in Summer. I use this for windsurfing and it has plenty of flexibility. Haven't noticed any significant wear yet, but only half a season in.
