The media could not be loaded.  I love these beautiful magnificent high quality hand-carved gourd maracas from Peru with Owl images carved on them. I am 100% satisfied. The maracas that I received are exactly as shown in the image.The maracas sound quality are excellent and I am able to shake the maracas as a rattle and hear one strong percusssion sound and if you gently twirl them while holding them in your hands, then you can also create a softer sound if needed. I will use these maracas for shamanic energy medicine work and healings. These maracas are also perfect for drumming circles and they also make a fun way to exercise your arms to keep your arm muscles toned and in-shape. The maracas handles are comfortable and easy to hold in your hands. The maracas design of the owls is truly beautiful and of museum quality. The maracas arrived to me in advance of schedule and packed very well & shipped in a medium sized brown box from Sanyork Fair Trade of Colorado. I ordered the maracas on Sunday/Monday, Memorial Day @ 12:14am (a holiday) and with just regular basic ground shipping they arrived to me in New York via USPS on Friday. These Owl maracas would also make an excellent gift. I would definitely order them again. I had looked at hundreds of different maracas and I am very very happy that I ordered these Maracas because they are so very beautiful and have such an excellent sound quality. I love my new Peruvian Owl maracas! They are amazing and excellent quality overall. I am over the moon with joy! These maracas have a beautiful energy when you hold them in your hands. First, this place lost my order, and second when I finally received the item (which I needed for a trip), it was completely different than the picture. Green and black with no handles. Do NOT buy from this seller.

The maraca has a hole in it where the beak broke off before I got it. Not great when it’s a gift.

Beautiful, and solidly made. Not too loud. Not too quiet. I would have liked if the stick part was maybe 2 inches longer.

Cute but I actually wanted to use them as maracas. The handles are so loose I was afraid the gourd would fall off if I handled them. If you want these for decoration only, then they should be fine sitting on a shelf. If, however, you want something well-made so you can actually use them, then skip these.

These maracas were delivered and packaged just right. The product is good. I will use them in shamanic healing works. They're cute and made well. I really like them.The order was excellent. I recommend this product.
