A very nostalgic book on sci-fi and horror from the fifties.
This book takes me back to a time when film making was an art that used talent and lots of imagination on the part of the cast and crew. It's nice to be able to go back in time to relive these moments over again as I did when I was a kid in a movie theater. Good memories.

How To Re-Live A Childhood
During the last 18 months I've re-discovered my love for old be grade (some Z grade) Sci-Fi & Monster movies that terrified me in my youth. With so many now available on streaming services, this book is the perfect companion that lets you behind the scene of the great and not so great movies from yesteryear.Written with wit and humour it's like listening to a good friend telling you about his favourite hobby. This is a book I'll continue to dip back into again and again.

You Won't Believe Your eyes Great book about 50's 60's horror and science fiction movies
This book is great not only does it tell you everything about every science fiction movie made in the 50's and 60's but the author will tell you all about it because he and his friends actually went to see these movies and when they grew up they went out and found these people who made these movies and had interviews with them and these actors told them if it was crap or not. The horror movies the same interviews with all kinds of 50;s stars John Agar, Arthur Franz John Carradine and many more. This was a great book sorry I have read it from cover to cover cause it's all gone now. Now it is a reference book for me.

Lots of Monster Kids Fun.
I was a "Monster Kid" of the '50s also. I met the author and a number of the friends he discusses back in those long ago days, I knew David Allen for years, etc., so the book was personal to me. I bought it expecting to keep it as a reference work, to look up individual films when I needed. When it came, I began reading a few write-ups of favorite movies and ... I ended up reading it cover-to-cover over one weekend. Fun, fascinating and this edition is a beautifully mounted and designed book. Loved it.

This book rocks!
This stands as nothing short of a catalog of the best, and not quite best, of the 50's Sci Fi films. Lots of behind the scenes photos and great back stories on a huge number of films. Practically every major genre film of the decade is examined here with insights to be found nowhere else. Required reading for the Boomer film fan. And everybody else too.
