Q: Getting a bearing bar, but will be doing a lot of powerlifting with it. Is this going to be a problem?

Not at all! It's a very versatile bar, so you can accomplish both easily.

Q: For people who have owned this bar for a long time, how has it held up?

My girlfriend and I each own this bar and its held up just fine. We both have the bearing model. She is more into Olympic lifting (used to crossfit) and I do more crossfit and wendler-type strength training. Lots of "drop from the top", heavy weight (450lb and higher), and the bar and bushings are fine.
