Very nice. Thanks.
I have a Ailunce HD1 which I discovered suffered from an awkward hit-or-miss relationship with it's factory antenna. It was bad enough I thought the radio was just junk. For poops and giggles, I had a Motorola UHF XPR6550 antenna which has the same threads as what is used on the HD1, installed it and noticed an immediate improvement in UHF performance. So I tossed the factory antenna and since the Motorola antenna was UHF only, I bought the 8" TNP antenna and installed. Sitting in my house I was able to key up to the 8300 DMR repeater we use on the job 9.8 miles away, switched to analog and then hit a DFW GMRS repeater about 20 miles away and as I am typing this, I'm listening to the County Sheriff's office, clearly, in VHF.The antenna is really good. After about 2 1/2 "'s, the antenna is really flexible but feels well made. I also like how the included a rubber washer.

Fits my Baofeng UV-9 perfectly, just bought a 2nd one. Also fits nicely on my BF-A58 unit too
I had been searching for am 8" type antenna that would fit this type radio. Most other NA-701 varieties were too big at the base, this one fit in perfectly, little snug but it fit with no modification. It replaced the V-85 stock antenna which was not flexible like this one or other NA-701's are. As for SWR measurements, going by the mfg. info, however I can hit all the repeaters that the V-85 did, good signal input I have been told, reception of various signals both UHF and VHF was equal or better, so it works period. I have tried several NA-701 type antennas and this is the only one that screws in perfectly. Most others I would have to file down 1/4 or so of the base to make it small enough to screw in.

Definately helped with range on my radios
The standard antennas stuggled when I am out in the thick woods. There is a dramatic difference with these installed.

... antenna on an antenna analyzer and it is a good antenna for 2 meters and 70 centimeters
I swept this antenna on an antenna analyzer and it is a good antenna for 2 meters and 70 centimeters. It even has 1.4:1 SWR on the TX frequencies for GMRS.

No better then, if not slightly worse then factory HT antenna .
Purchased these to replace the antenna on my UV-82. After some testing I found the reception was ever so sightly worse then using the factory antenna. I tested on a swr meter, VHF was just over 1:2 and UHF was just over 1:3. the factory antenna was running about 1:1.8 on VHF and 1:2.3 on UFH, but is slightly shorter in length. It would work fine as a replacement for a broken antenna, and looks nice, but not as a upgrade for a uv-82, wasted my money.
