If you just want to use this to put your hair in a bun, then simply start by tying your hair into a ponytail first, and THEN roll it into a bun using one of these. The bun turns out much tighter and neater like that. Afterwards, secure it into place with another hair tie around the bun.If you want to use it to curl your hair overnight, read the bottom half of my review:I noticed that this product uses the same method as Charlie Curls does, but it does it for a whole LOT cheaper. Instead of using just one, I split my hair into two sections to roll my hair into a bun towards the top of my head. The bun doesn’t have to look pretty, just make sure it’s tightly rolled. That way, I can comfortably sleep with them on without them getting in the way of my pillow.You could probably put them in very low bun for more beach like curls, but I haven’t tried that yet. It takes some practice, but make sure to curl your hair downwards instead of rolling it up. I got these curls after sleeping on them for about 5 hours.It’s not perfect, but it sure beats using heat and more expensive (yet similar) products. Now I have an easy, cheap, and lazy way to curl my hair without the heat damage. I love it!

My hair is thick and these did not work out.

I bought these because of the hook design, I usually buy the other ones that don’t have a hook and they can be difficult to keep the hair wrapped on the hairpiece during workout or sleep.This one keeps my hair in place after hooking, but it doesn’t have the bendable rods inside them to keep hair in place while you roll hair or tight after roll up. Wouldn’t buy again, does the bare minimum that I need where it may be perfect for others.

Love this! I have medium length but thin hair and this item works and looks fantastic. Holds tight and does not require any extra pins/clips. The only reason I gave only 3 stars on 'stretch' was because the quality of stretchiness is irrelevant. Everything else about this product was easily 5 star! Design creates a classic, elegant looking style. Excellent quality for the price and even the packaging was cute!

Hook piece broke in the first 5 uses, but bun held tight regardless. Easy to use.

Admittedly I did just get this, but it works wonderfully. Got a good looking bun without using any elastic bands! I'm very happy with it.Just a note when rolling it, roll in from the neck side.

I always fall for these hair gimmicks. The pearl is annoying so I removed that right away, but the hooks are so large and thick that they stick out no matter how you try to do this. That and they pop out from the tension of holding the hair. Worthless.
