Golden Gate Audio Interconnect by AudioQuest

This headphone extension cable is as advertised I guess. Cannot see inside to see how it is constructed. Sounds fine, by that I mean, I cannot detect any sonic degradation in sound by attaching it and playing my headphones through it. For he price, I suppose one always hopes for some magic something. But in the end, if it does no harm to the signal, then it is doing its job. I only gave it 4 stars because it does seem overpriced. Revised to one star because it quite working right away. Treated it with Deoxit cleaner and it worked for a while, then totally stopped working. No good!!!!

I'll keep this short and sweet - for headphone use to a PC, this extension cable does not 'sound' any different than connecting directly to the headphone jack. Nothing is added, and nothing is removed, which is good! This is exactly what I was after. If you need more room to connect a headphone to your PC but cannot deal with the *absolute* slightest loss in sound quality, and you are willing to pay for that, this is for you. I'm replacing a desktop headphone amp/dac combo with this wire so it seems worth it to me. At MSRP this is a terrible value, even amongst other AQ products. I would live with the 2% loss in sound quality using generic wire before paying sticker. Shop around and try to find one open box for a more reasonable price. This is how I buy most if not all of my audio products and recommend other people do the same, especially with cables.

I’ve bought many Audioquest cables over the years and for the most part they have been fantastic. However, I received this cable that appeared to be used or had some cosmetic damage to it. Disappointed for spending close to $100 for a headphone cable.

They did not work with my BW P 7. 🙁 do they were returned for a 6 dollar cable that works great

I purchased this lead to extend the cord on my Shure headphones. excellent quality cable, the 3.5mm jack and socket terminations are gold plated and are first rate. I was a little concerned that this extension cable would have an impact on the overall sound quality, but thankfully I have noticed no discernible difference when listening to music through my headphones. I'm very happy with this extension cable, highly recommended.
